Who should Chelsea sign this January?

Who should Chelsea sign this January?

Despite launching a successful title winning campaign and largely impressing fans across the board last season, the newly appointed Guus Hiddink and his unpredictable Chelsea side have certainly failed to set the English top-flight alight in 2015/16.

Jose Mourinho has already left the realms of Stamford Bridge with his once untouchable legacy seemingly in tatters, the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Diego Costa and Eden Hazard have all looked like mere shadows of their former selves truth be told – and although it admittedly remains hard to imagine Chelsea facing the threat of relegation come the end of the season – the immediate future nonetheless looks incredibly murky for the Blues faithful.

So then, with the often highly anticipated January transfer window now upon us fans of the Premier League, just who do the Stamford Bridge support want to see arrive at their club this winter?

Well, even though Diego Costa seems unlikely to leave his current employers this January, some fans certainly want to see some backup arrive in the striking department above all else…

Some fans are seemingly feeling optimistic about Chelsea’s chances of landing big name players this time around…

..whilst others would be happy for some backup alternatives to arrive if certain targets just aren’t available right in the here and now…

Alex Teixeira has nonetheless been sounded out as a serious option for Guus Hiddink’s side this season…

…but it seems another famous Brazilian wouldn’t go amiss down at Stamford Bridge either in 2015/16…

In any case, Alexandre Pato is yet another name who has been highlighted by Blues fans this term…

…even if some Chelsea supporters are failing to see the appeal behind the former AC Milan striker…

Other Blues fans seemingly want the defensive midfield position solidified at their club…

…with some thinking somewhat outside the box when it comes to highlighting genuine January targets…

In the end, this current transfer window could very well represent a massive turning point for the Blues one way or another. If Chelsea fail to strengthen their overall squad this term, then the threat of relegation may simply become all too real for the Stamford Bridge faithful whether they like it or not.

All we can do now is watch this space…
