West Ham v Manchester City betting preview and Premier League predictions for this weekend’s fixture live on Sky Sports at 5.30pm.
West ham host Manchester City live on Sky Sports 1 at the Boleyn Ground on Saturday evening and our football tipster has picked his three best bets for the match.
West Ham v Man City Predictions
West Ham were in an excellent run of form before Newcastle derailed them 2-1 at St James Park last weekend. They were disappointing in the game and didn’t start playing until they were already losing. This won’t deter them however, as they do tend to up their game when playing big teams, as shown by their early season away form beating some of the top teams fairly comfortably.
Man City on the other hand are a bit of an enigma, especially away from home. Their away form is pretty average for a team who wish to win the league, with it currently being 4 wins, 3 draws and 3 defeats. Kevin De Bruyne hasn’t yet performed as well away from home as at the Etihad this season and you feel if he isn’t at the top of his game, City do struggle in the final third. The return of David Silva will help him out, but Raheem Sterling is starting to struggle for goals now as well.
West ham have been very impressive at home this season with their record standing at 4 wins, 4 draws and 2 defeats. The two defeats both came in August to Bournemouth and Leicester so they’ve turned the Boleyn ground into a bit of a fortress and will be keen to extend their 8 match unbeaten run at home.
My first football bet tip for this match is for it to end all square. City still haven’t kicked into gear away from home, and with the semi-final of the capital one cup next week looming, their minds may not completely on the game. West ham are excellent at home, and with the return of Payet sees them possess a real threat going forward.
My first West Ham v Man City prediction is for the match to end a draw and the best odds are 3/1 with Betfred.

My second footy bet of the game is for Mark Noble to be shown a card. It’s likely to be a feisty affair, especially in the middle of the park and Noble loves a tackle. He’s prone to the odd booking and could easily tackle someone slightly late due to a piece of skill.
The next Premier League prediction for West Ham v Man City is for Mark Noble to get a card and the odds are 15/8 with Betfair.

My anytime goalscorer tip for West Ham v Man City is going to be Dimitri Payet. On his day he is unplayable, and after curling in a 30-yard free kick against Bournemouth in the game before last, he quickly found his goalscoring touch after a lengthy spell on the sidelines. He’s likely to take most of the free kicks as well as the penalties so 18/5 with 888 Sport is a good price.
