Tottenham have started of the season with a creditable 1-1 draw away to Everton and a 1-0 victory against Crystal Palace last week and Mauricio Pochettino will be happy with four points out of these two fixtures especially as his team have been playing below the standard that they set last season. The Tottenham manager has complained at the lack of rest between the European Championships ending and the start of the new season saying that his players aren’t ‘robots’. This was evident last week against Palace as they struggled to break them down and it took a rare Victor Wanyama goal to give them the three points. I think they will find it easier to create chances on Saturday though as Liverpool won’t sit back like Crystal Palace did and this could mean joy for both sets of attacking players. New boy Vincent Janssen will be hoping that this is the case as he tries to score his first goal for the club. He missed one golden opportunity last week, but I don’t think it will be too long before he’s celebrating his first goal based on his form in the Eredivise last season.

Liverpool Team News, Form and Preview

Jurgen Klopp’s men have started their season in typical yo-yo fashion by producing a fantastic attacking display against Arsenal on the opening day of the season where they won 4-3 and following that up with a lacklustre performance last week where they lost 2-0 away to Burnley despite having 80% possession.  They did get back to winning ways in midweek where they beat Burton Albion 5-0 in the EFL Cup but Tottenham will obviously be a tougher test. Sadio Mane was missing through injury last week when they faced Burnley and I think it’s no coincide that Liverpool have scored nine goals in the two games that he has started this season. He is a very good player who often rises to the big occasion as shown when he was at Southampton (where he scored a hat-trick against Manchester City last season) and he scored on his debut for Liverpool this season against Arsenal and I think that he will be able to cause the Tottenham defence some problems.

My first Tottenham vs Liverpool betting tip for this game is going to be for Sadio Mane to score anytime.
