Stoke vs Newcastle Betting Tips and Predictions

Stoke vs Newcastle predictions and Premier League betting tips for the 7.45pm kick-off on Wednesday 2nd March with the best odds for our bets.

Stoke host Newcastle at the Britannia Stadium on Wednesday night in the Premier League and I’ve picked three football betting tips for the clash.

Stoke vs Newcastle Predictions

Stoke will be looking to continue their resurgent form against Newcastle after winning their last two Premier League matches against Bournemouth and Aston Villa. They face another struggler, and will feel that a win is essential if they’re to push on in the last third of the season towards a European place.

Newcastle on the other hand should be well rested for this match. They haven’t played a competitive match since the 5-1 drubbing at Stamford Bridge and Steve McClaren took his men on a warm weather training camp in La Manga, to try and give the players a rest, and also to bring a sense of togetherness for when the league matches commenced again. They did play a friendly last week against Lillestrom and won 2-1, however this was probably just a match to keep the players fresh for Stoke.

I would usually consider this match as a home win banker for my Premier League predictions, and have even thought to go with a handicap bet, however the fact Newcastle haven’t played in so long gives this game an extra edge, as you never know how a team will react to a 17 day break in the middle of the season. I do still fancy Stoke to win though for my Stoke vs Newcastle prediction, partly due to their good form, and massively down to how terrible Newcastle are away from home. They’ve lost 10 away games in the league already, conceded an incredible 31 goals and scored just seven all season away from home.

The best odds for Stoke to beat Newcastle this week are Evens with bet365.

My next Stoke vs Newcastle prediction is for Jack Colback to be shown a card. He’s one of the leagues’ highest offenders this season, already racking up nine yellow cards, meaning he’s only one away from a two match ban. He’s already on a tightrope, and I don’t fancy his chances against Arnautovic, Bojan, Shaqiri and Afellay given his previous history.

The best odds for Jack Colback to get a card against Stoke are 13/8 with Paddy Power.

My anytime goalscorer tip for Stoke vs Newcastle is going to be Xherdan Shaqiri. It probably seems strange not going for the in-form Marko Arnautovic, but I do feel that as he’s still coming back from injury he may struggle to recover from the weekend exertions against Villa. Shaqiri will be busy all game, and he always pops up in excellent positions.

The best odds for Shaqiri to score anytime against Newcastle are 3/1 at bet365.
