PSG head into this one in fine form after the first three pre-season friendlies that they have played. Three wins on the board including impressive 3-1 score lines over Inter Milan and Real Madrid; and although the Real Madrid team wasn’t at its strongest neither was PSG’s. It will be interesting to see how PSG get on against a team who have had as much practice so far as them.

New PSG manager Unai Emery has had a great start to life with his new club.

 

Leicester City

Leicester have also played three games so far in pre-season are in a similar position. Three wins from three if you’re counting the penalty shoot-out win over Celtic. However, the first two wins were over Oxford United and Nuneaton and this should almost definitely be another step up, but also a taste of what the Champions League could have in store for them this season following their remarkable Premier League title win last season.

Now PSG have got a good amount of game time under their belt I do think they are definitely good enough to go on and beat the English champions. Impressive wins over Inter Milan and Real Madrid should definitely give them some confidence and will definitely fancy themselves as favourites heading into Saturday’s clash.

 

They played a number of first team players including Cavani, Lucas and Thiago Silva but it was the ‘nobodies’ who did the damage against Real Madrid and it shows how much danger there is in the depth of the PSG squad even though Zlatan Ibrahoimovic has moved to Manchester United. Players like Ben Arfa and Di Maria came on for 20 minutes and these players could really finish Leicester off.
