Premier League Tips: Back these Two Title Contenders to Struggle

Stoke goal.jpg

The Premier League is back this weekend and we have found two outside bets for Saturday’s action that provide a few double betting tip options.

First up we look to one of the 3pm kick-offs before focusing on the 5.30pm match from the Premier League. Two of the title contenders are in action and we can see value in opposing both of them.

Depending how confident you are will depend on which of the bets you take on from the selections.

First up we look to the Britannia Stadium and Stoke vs Manchester City. Stoke have started well this season, winning two of their opening three matches and only losing on the opening day after a last minute penalty miss at Anfield.

Man City were shocked at Cardiff when they lost 3-2 and might stumble again here. City struggled to break Hull City down in their last match before running out 2-0 winners and they don’t have a fantastic record at the Britannia. The previous four Premier League meetings at the Britannia between the sides have finished 1-1 and City haven’t won there since a League One match in 1999 (five league matches).

The options for the first leg of our bet are: the draw 3/1, Stoke (draw no bet) 3/1, Stoke (double chance) 13/10.

The second leg opposes another of the proposed title contenders in Chelsea. They go to Everton for an evening kick-off under the lights at Goodison Park and any player will tell you that is not a nice thing to do. Everton haven’t fired so far this season and this is the type of game to kick start their campaign. Last season they took the lead after a minute before losing 2-1 but that was only Chelsea’s first victory at Goodison Park in seven attempts.

Chelsea have won just two of their last ten visits to Merseyside in the Premier League and will not fancy an evening trip to Goodison Park on Saturday. Just ask Manchester United and Arsenal who failed to win under the lights at Goodison last season. Infact Everton played five times in evening kick-offs at Goodison last season and didn’t lose any of them.

The options for this leg are: Everton to win 5/2, draw 12/5, Everton (draw no bet) 27/20 or Everton (double chance) 8/13.

This means there are a number of double options you can take but we recommend one of these:

Safer option: Stoke or draw and Everton or draw double – 2.73/1 Bet365

Longer Odds: Everton to beat Chelsea, Stoke vs Man City draw – 12.2/1 Bet Victor
