Premier League Predictions for Chelsea this Season

Today’s Premier League predictions focus on the current Premier League Chelsea and their chances of winning the league again in 2015/16.

 

As we approach mid-July, everyone is eagerly anticipating the new Premier League season to start and of course the big question is, can Chelsea retain the title?

Chelsea will have a much tougher task of winning the league this season compared to last, when they all but ran away with it and at no point did it look like they were going to be caught. Arsenal have already strengthened defensively with the signing of Cech and I can only imagine there will be a number of ins and outs around North London and both sides of Manchester before the season kicks off.

 

Mourinho’s team already has strength in depth and that is clear for all to see, they are also already embedded with a winning mentality and nearly always manage to close out games and get results when it matters. Even with any potential new signings, Arsenal, Man City and Man Utd could fall short again, unless they adopt Mourinho like tactics and quickly adapt to winning games when not at their best.

 

Chelsea to win the Premier League – 13/8 with Paddy Power.

 

Chelsea’s squad boasts quality in abundance with the likes of Fabregas, Hazard, Willian and of course Costa, who if he keeps his temperament in check could become the PL top scorer in 2015-16. Fabregas was outstanding last season finishing on 18 assists. He peaked from August up until Christmas notching 13 and at the turn of the year they dried up only managing a further five in as many months. Eden Hazard stepped his game up chipping in with goals and assists, he finished on nine assists for the season, which was the joint fifth best in the league. Hazard was only two assists short of second and I believe this season he will be the key player, providing the passes, cut backs and jinking wing-play for the likes of Costa and Remy. 888 Sport are offering 11//1 for Hazard to end the season with the most assists, and with Fabregas liable to suffer a small bout of second season syndrome, I feel this is a price not to be missed.
