Spurs travel up north to take on a relegated Newcastle side this Sunday which is scheduled for a 3pm kick off at the Sports Direct Arena.
Since Sunderland’s midweek thumping of Everton, Newcastle have been relegated to the Championship before the last day of the season and the big question is will Rafa stay on as manager in the second tier of English football and what is next for such a big club? A meaningless game for the North side now whereas for Spurs it’s still a much needed to win to secure second place and to ensure that London rivals Arsenal don’t take it from them on the final day.
Newcastle will now be planning for life in the Championship and if Sunderland didn’t win their game in hand this week, this game may of been much more competitive now but with morale rock bottom at Newcastle, it’s hard to see where a solid performance is going to come from. It seems the Rafa appointment was just little too late.
Tottenham have had a lapse in form for a fair few games now, it all started against West Brom when they failed to pick up three valuable points. Shortly after Leicester secured the Premier League title and since then Spurs have looked deflated. They are going to have to pick themselves up if they want to prevent Arsenal taking second place of them as a home win for them against Aston Villa is almost certain.
Harry Kane is favourite to win the Premier League golden boot, with Aguero his main challenger. Get either 5/1 for Kane or 10/1 for Aguero to win the Golden Boot with a new Betfair account.
Newcastle vs Tottenham Predictions
Although it’s a little too late for Spurs to do anything about the league title, if you would have offered second place to a Tottenham Hotspur fan at the beginning of the season I’m sure they would have taken it. Taking three points on the final day this weekend will secure that achievement and I think they have got it in them.
My first Newcastle vs Tottenham prediction is going to be a Spurs win. I think that with Newcastle now down and out, the game will be much easier for Spurs than what it could of been. The best odds for this are currently 17/20 with Sky Bet.

Harry Kane is currently the Premier League’s leading goalscorer and is one ahead of both Aguero and Vardy. A goal or two should see him secure the golden boot just before heading off to the European Championships with England this summer. It would be a massive achievement for the striker and I think he will definitely have that in his mind this weekend.
My second Premier League prediction for Newcastle vs Spurs is going to be Harry Kane to score first. He will be determined to hold back the other two and take the trophy and I think he will do just that against a demoralised Newcastle. The best odds for this are currently 9/2 with Coral.

I think that now the pressure of the title has been lifted off Spurs, playing against a relegated side may help them enjoy their football again. I think if Spurs get an early goal then it could potentially open the floodgates and really finish off Newcastle’s disappointing season.
My third and final Newcastle vs Spurs betting tip this weekend is going to be Spurs to win with a -2 handicap. I don’t think a 3-0 scoreline would surprise many with some of the Tottenham performances this season. The best odds for this are with Paddy Power at 11/2.
