Juventus v Carpi
Our opening selection comes to us from Serie A as newly crowned champions Juventus host Carpi at 11:30am. Following a shaky start to the campaign, the hosts have gone on to absolutely romp the Italian top flight after winning 24 of their last 25 games in a row. Opponents Carpi are after the points for completely different reasons altogether as they look to keep their three point cushion between themselves and the bottom three. They are, however, in decent form for a relegation threatened side and have actually won four of their last seven games. Under normal circumstances I would have probably steered clear of this considering Juventus’ excellent defensive record, but the Bianconeri won the title and a similar time last year and ended up going on to record four straight BTTS results to finish the season. We’ve already seen with PSG in France that complacency can creep in somewhat once you have achieved your primary goal, so with this in mind, back Juve to win this with both teams finding the net.

Swansea v Liverpool
The second selection on this weekend’s football tip takes us to the Premier League as Swansea host in-form Liverpool at 12:00pm. For The Swans, their season cannot end soon enough. The Welsh side have looked well off the pace in their last two matches after all but securing their league status at home to Chelsea three weeks ago. Although they have recorded three straight 1-0s at the Liberty Stadium, these were all to teams from the bottom half of the table and Liverpool look to be playing with a real confidence at the moment and should pose a far greater threat on the day. The Reds have only lost once in their last ten matches, have scored a whopping 28 goals along the way and six of those last seven matches have finished with a BTTS outcome. Although they face a crucial tie at home to Villarreal at Anfield on the Thursday, the likes of Daniel Sturridge, Roberto Firmino and Adam Lallana all started the 2-2 draw with Newcastle last weekend, so there is more than enough firepower for Jurgen Klopp’s side to run out comfortable winners on Sunday. Therefore, back an away win with both teams scoring.

Willem II v Feyenoord
Our anchor leg on the btts win tip comes to us from the Dutch Eredivisie as a rejuvenated Feyenoord side take on relegation threatened Willem II at 13:30pm. The hosts look to be in a straight shootout with 16th placed Excelsior to decide which of them will play in the relegation playoffs at the end of the season. Their form is absolutely shocking of late, though, and it is hard to see where any points will be coming from after only picking up one win in their last fifteen and losing eight of their last ten. Opponents Feyenoord have spectacularly recovered from a rather odd spell at the turn of the year that saw them lose seven matches in a row. The visitors have now gone nine matches unbeaten in a row and look a totally different outfit from two months ago. Based on form, I fancy Feyenoord to win this one, but they do have a 75% record for BTTS results away from home so that certainly suggests there’s a decent chance of them winning via that outcome as well.
