We’re kicking things off in Spain as Valencia host Barcelona at 15:15. The visitors head into the clash following their worst start in La Liga for over a decade. Nevertheless, the fact this is merely reflected by fourth place in the table and two points of the top purely emphasises how much of a force the Catalan side have been over the years. A few seasons ago this might have been one of Barcelona’s toughest fixtures of the campaign, but Valencia are no longer the force of old and are currently languishing down in 14th position after a truly dreadful start that saw them lose four games in a row. However, for all their defensive woes, the hosts haven’t struggled for goals so far this year and they currently hold a 75% strike-rate for BTTS as well. Bayern Munich v Borussia Monchengladbach – Bayern to win BTTS

Whilst I would rarely bet against the visitors at Borussia Park, Monchengladbach’s away record is particularly disappointing for a side of their calibre, and despite winning away at Celtic Park on Wednesday, they have only managed to pick up a solitary point on their travels so far this season. Based on Bayern’s recent results, this fixture looks a decent contender for our treble this weekend.
Liverpool v West Brom – Liverpool to win BTTS
The anchor leg this Saturday comes from the evening kick off in the Premier League as Liverpool host West Brom at 17:30. Jurgen Klopp’s side have safely negotiated a number their more difficult fixtures this year and now head into a particularly favourable run over the next few weeks. Considering The Reds currently find themselves just off the top of the table, this period is likely to prove crucial towards any Champions League, or even title-winning ambitions. Opponents West Brom are generally doing what they always seem to do so far this season, which is keeping their head just above the water. Tony Pulis’ side were absolutely battered all game by Tottenham last weekend, yet somehow managed to emerge with a point from the match. That result was The Baggies fourth BTTS outcome in a row, though, and despite not being the most prolific scorers by any stretch of the imagination, West Brom are generally quite clinical in front of goal when given the chance. Whilst I expect Liverpool to win this match at a canter, the hosts do struggle from set-pieces and have conceded in every game this season bar one.
