Saturday's Football Accumulator Tips
Cardiff vs Wigan Betting Tip
Wigan were unbeaten in four league matches until they suffered an unfortunate 1-0 home defeat by Brighton at the weekend. The controversial dismissal of manager Gary Caldwell soon followed which is likely to have affected preparations for this match at Cardiff where the home team appear to have been rejuvenated by recently appointed boss Neil Warnock. The Bluebirds should have beaten Nottingham Forest by a far greater margin than the 2-1 scoreline last Saturday, but they have claimed seven points from three matches and could win this game via a clean sheet.
Cardiff to beat Wigan – Ladbrokes Odds 23/20.
Bristol Rovers vs Peterborough Betting Tip
Bristol Rovers have earned ten points from four games this month and netted at least twice in each game. The only three League One defeats incurred by Rovers this term have been sustained against Sheffield United, Bolton and Scunthorpe and they outplayed Oldham for most of the match in a 2-0 victory last weekend. Visitors Peterborough have proved to be an inconsistent team lately and have lost two of their latest three matches, but they produced a poor performance when beaten 1-0 by AFC Wimbledon on home soil last weekend. A third successive home victory is predicted for Rovers.
Bristol Rovers to beat Peterborough – Ladbrokes Odds 7/5.
Sheffield United v MK Dons Betting Tip
Long-serving manager Karl Robinson departed MK Dons soon after the team was beaten 3-0 on home turf by Southend last weekend. The Dons have not won a League One home match this season but have won four times on the road including victories at Fleetwood and Rochdale. However, they now travel to Sheffield United with the hosts unbeaten in league action since late August and have won four successive games at Bramall Lane. The Blades have also netted ten goals in their latest three gamed which includes a 3-3 draw at Bradford last weekend, and a home win with 3 or more goals scored is forecasted.
Sheffield United to beat MK Dons – Ladbrokes Odds 5/6.
Yeovil vs Grimsby Betting Tip
Yeovil lost seven of their opening eleven games of the season but following a 4-1 loss at Plymouth during early October, increased defensive reliability has allowed the Glovers to win three successive matches via a 1-0 scoreline. Visitors Grimsby are unbeaten in five League Two games on their travels, but this week’s departure of long-serving manager Paul Hurst to Shrewsbury is a blow for the Mariners and a fourth consecutive home win for Yeovil is expected.
Yeovil to beat Grimsby – Ladbrokes Odds 19/10.
Chester vs Lincoln Betting Tip
Chester have conceded just one goal in nine previous National League fixtures when they earned a 1-1 draw at York last weekend. Despite rescuing a point via a late goal, Jon McCarthy’s team should have won that match such was their dominance, and they also claimed a useful draw at Macclesfield in midweek. Danny Cowley’s Lincoln team are unbeaten in five league matches with just two goals conceded in their preceding five games. A low-scoring draw is forecasted between two in-form teams.
Chester to draw with Lincoln – Ladbrokes Odds 23/10.
