Midweek football is back with a bang this week, and we have a plethora of matches across Champions League, Europa League, Championship, League One, and League Two to sink our teeth into, so I’m bringing to you a cheeky little four timer that weighs in just shy of 17/2 with our friends Paddy Power.
Malaga CF to beat AC Milan @ 11/10
Malaga were all set to be one of the emerging clubs in European football until earlier this season where financial misdemeanours sent the club into disarray (well behind the scenes anyway). They have a strong side full of talent, and currently sit 3rd in La Liga behind the big two. Malaga are unbeaten at home this season and have six points from a possible six in their Champions league group. Their Italian counterparts on the other hand are simply not the team they used to be Milan are currently languishing in 11th place in Serie A, a massive FIFTEEN points off table topping Juventus, and without an away win since the 1st September (3-1 at Bologna) I honestly cannot see them leaving Andalucia with anything at all.
Juventus to beat FC Nordsjaelland @ 4/11
As I previously mentioned La Vecchia Signora are sitting pretty at the top of Serie A, winning seven out of eight in the league this year and haven’t lost in the league for as long as I care to remember. Nordsjaelland will have heart and determination in abundance but they will not get anything against the mighty Juventus on Tuesday evening.
Southend to beat Aldershot @ 8/11
‘The Shrimpers’ have had a mixed start to this campaign to say the least they have beaten Cheltenham Town and Exeter City so far this season and on the flip side of the coin lost 1-0 away at Morecambe on Saturday, but they should have more than enough to see off Aldershot Tuesday night in front of their home fans. Aldershot have won just one in their last TEN outings (1-0 against Barnet) and look an awful side and will surely be fighting it out at the basement of the football league come May.
Stevenage to beat Portsmouth @ 21/20
‘Boro won their derby game against MK Dons on Saturday and confidence will be sky high as they sit pretty 2nd in League One just four points behind Tranmere Rovers, they have lost only once in their last TEN league games. Pompey have had a bit of a resurrection of late winning four from their last five, but I expect Stevenage to edge this one to boost their claims as title challengers this year.
