Group D Predictions & Betting Tips – Euro 2016

The reigning European Championships Spain are housed in Group D at Euro 2016 alongside Croatia, Czech Republic and Turkey, are Spain the force of old?

This group looks wide open behind Spain and Croatia come into the tournament on a high after a change of manager worked wonders, we could see a tight group here.

Euro 2016 Group D: Spain

Reigning Champions Spain will have their backers to retain the crown and it’s the center forward birth that could dictate how far they go. Paco Alcacer was top scorer in qualifying and Diego Costa simply doesn’t seem to fit. Xavi and Xabi Alonso are no longer in the team so the slow passing has gone, to an extent. Their defence is brilliant but the likes of Silva and Iniesta will need to be at their creative best.

Euro 2016 Group D: Croatia

The Croatia midfield is one of the strongest in the tournament with Ivan Rakitic and Luca Modric joined by Mateo Kovacic. A change of manager ensured their qualification wobble stopped and Mario Mandzukic will need to be firing because their defence is a weak link.

Euro 2016 Group D: Czech Republic

Czech Republic could be a surprise package for many at Euro 2016. Goalscoring could be a problem but they’re capable of getting out this group. They are the outsiders of the four to qualify for the last 16 and that could be a shrewd bet for the attack minded Czech Republic.

Euro 2016 Group D: Turkey

Euro 2008 semi-finalists Turkey are a bit of an enigma and very hard to predict. Arda Turan is their star man and the experienced Yilmaz will lead the line. If Turkey can keep their discipline in check they have every chance of another strong European Championships showing.
