Euro 2016 Group C Preview and Predictions for Poland

With the 2015/16 Premier League campaign just about approaching its natural conclusion right in the here and now, we’ve decided to continue our relevant Group C preview and predictions for Euro 2016 this summer, with a closer look at Poland and everything Adam Nawalka’s side can expect to achieve at the upcoming competition…

Chances of success:

Poland probably aren’t going to set the continent alight at Euro 2016 with everything fairly taken into account – but as Nawalka’s proud outfit could easily strive past both Northern Ireland and Ukraine in order to achieve safe passage to the knock-out stages alongside Germany this summer – now is no time to seemingly write this team off completely.

Despite failing to possess one of the most well defined reputations upon the international scene at this particular point in the proceedings, Poland have slowly but surely been establishing a certain sense of progress at major international tournaments in recent years, and should theoretically look to continue such a subtly positive trend at Euro 2016 this summer.

Ones to watch:

Although each of Jakub Blaszczykowski, Arkadiusz Milik and Grzegorz Krychowiak will certainly offer manager Adam Nawalka his fair share of options looking ahead to the highly anticipated summer tournament, Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski will clearly represent Poland’s most recognisable asset at Euro 2016.

The former Borussia Dortmund striker knows how to find the back of the net in some style it must be said – and as the towering centre-forward has nonetheless continued his fine form in-front of goal throughout the vast majority of the 2015/16 Bundesliga campaign thus far – opposing defenders certainly need to be wary of Robert Lewandowski at Euro 2016 this summer.

From the dug-out:

Euro 2016 Group C Preview and Predictions for Poland

Current manager of the Polish national team – long-term Wisla Krakow representative back within his playing days, Adam Nawalka – may admittedly fail to go down as one of the most notable managerial names looking to try their hand at Euro 2016. But within the realms of modern day Polish football, this 58-year-old tactician certainly remains rather well placed right in the here and now.

Poland seem to be progressing somewhat admirably under Nawalka’s current leadership, and although his first team squad aren’t exactly expected to go all the way at this summer’s approaching competition, Polish football fans nonetheless have strong reason for confidence with Adam Nawalka firmly calling the shots at Euro 2016.

Poland’s Euro 2016 predictions:

Let’s face it however – despite Poland’s relatively impressive displays at previous international competitions – it remains somewhat difficult to image this side really coming up trumps and doing the business at Euro 2016.

For some of the more optimistic Polish football supporters out there though, perhaps their side could in-fact stand an outside chance at proving everybody wrong at this summer’s approaching tournament – for as Robert Lewandowski could easily represent the undisputed top goal-scorer at the competition when all is said and done – Poland must remain in high spirits with their opening match of Euro 2016 only a matter of months away…
