As the 2015/16 domestic campaign is just about entering its closing stages at this particular point in the season – with Bayern Munich seemingly on course to landing yet another well-deserved Bundesliga title upon the final culmination of the current term – we’ve decided to begin our regular preview and predictions for Group C at Euro 2016 this summer, starting with current champions upon the world stage – Germany.
Chances of success:
Well on the back of such a formidable tournament triumph at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil two summers ago, Joachim Low’s star-studded outfit clearly have to go down as major favourites among the upcoming Euro 2016 proceedings.
Relevant betting tips could easily place Germany as the most likely side to end the highly anticipated competition on victorious terms, for although Low has arguably failed to source an adequate replacement for Miroslav Klose among the German striking department for this summer’s tournament, the current world champions still seemingly play host to some of the most impressive talents available.
Ones to watch:
Yet whilst the German national squad does certainly include a range of truly impressive players in the cold light of day – such as Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil, Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus, and of course the vast amount of home-grown talent on offer at Bayern Munich in the modern era – Joachim Low’s squad arguably represent more of an all-round team unit than any of their current international counterparts looking to impress at Euro 2016 this summer.
Even without the likes of Philipp Lahm and possibly even Manchester United’s Bastian Schweinsteiger included among the action, this group of unmistakably talented individuals will nonetheless likely combine together as a truly effective team with all things fairly taken into account.
From the dug-out:
Despite the reported interest from Arsenal that seemingly crops up year after year in light of Arsene Wenger’s continued uncertainty down among the Emirates dug-out, Joachim Low’s capabilities within club football arguably remain somewhat untested within the modern game.
As the 56-year-old tactician has admittedly turned the German national team into perhaps the best all-round squad currently operating upon the international scene however, such an analysis probably won’t matter all that much for Germany when Euro 2016 finally comes around.
Put in no uncertain terms whatsoever, Joachim Low is more than worthy of the subsequent praise to come his way in recent years, for even if Germany hadn’t eventually gone all the way within the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, the enigmatic German coach would still certainly deserve his place among the very best managers in world football right in the here and now.
Germany’s Euro 2016 predictions:
Whilst each of Spain, Belgium and holders France, remain incredibly well placed to set the world alight at Euro 2016 this summer, Germany must ultimately represent the best all-round favourites when all is said and done.
Even with some of their most established figureheads potentially missing from the first team fold at the upcoming summer competition, Joachim Low’s side have every right to expect big things from Euro 2016 upon the ultimate conclusion of the current domestic season.
As most will seemingly believe in Germany’s overall ability once again this summer, it’s going to take an absolutely massive effort in order to destabilize the unmistakably formidable Germans in their quest for international victory at Euro 2016…
