Whilst Chris Coleman’s proud Welsh outfit clearly approached their upcoming Euro 2016 duties full of confidence and renewed hope for what the highly anticipated international tournament would have in store for their nation, very few within the wider European footballing community ultimately expected Wales to book their place in the semi-finals in explosive and no-nonsense style.
The likes of Aaron Ramsey, Joe Allen and Gareth Bale deserve a great deal of credit for how well their side have performed among Euro 2016 thus far, alongside a whole host of equally hard-working and determined stars who must also be highly praised within the resolute Welsh camp this summer.
Wales have certainly found themselves with some newfound fans after last night’s impressive victory over a supposedly superior Belgium outfit…
Great game, really pleasantly surprised. Kinda want Wales to go all the way now

…including some pretty famous admirers at that…
By the way, how well did Wales do? I hope they go all the way. Some great goals in that match. #Wales #EURO2016 #UnbelievableJeff

The recent triumph has most definitely embarrassed England’s largely pathetic effort against Iceland when all is said and done…
Just arrived in San Francisco to see the Wales score… WOW. Fair bloody play! Go all the way! Makes the English embarrassment stronger haha!

…which is something that the Welsh players have every reason to celebrate right in the here and now…

Perhaps the Euro 2016 final now beckons for Wales after such an impressive quarter-final display against Belgium…
I'm sorry England but that's how you do it. Hats off to Wales. Deserve to be in the final. Really hope they beat Portugal
— FootyElnino (@Footyelnino) 1 July 2016
…and who could blame their fans for feeling excited ahead of their upcoming semi-final fixture with Portugal…
'British football'
No mate this is Wales.. Its all Wales and they fully deserve it

Who knows – maybe Wales could even go on to replicate the efforts of the Greeks back in Euro 2004 this time around…
I reckon Wales can go all the way now. Like Greece back in the day
— Bateson87 (@bateson87) 1 July 2016
…for now is no time to write Chris Coleman’s outfit off that’s for sure!
That's what winning team looks like #wales congratulations you deserve it pic.twitter.com/un55LxMCaT
