England vs Spain predictions and betting tips for this week’s international friendly on Tuesday 15th November including the best odds for each bet selected.
England host Spain on Tuesday night in a high profile friendly and if the English can somehow manage a win then I’m sure the FA will give Gareth Southgate the job on a full-time basis. Here are two football tips for the game live on ITV.
England are sitting comfortably at the top of Group F in their World Cup qualifying group and will expect to make it to the finals in Russia in two years’ time but as we all know the problems aren’t in qualifying; they are in the major tournaments. They eased past Scotland on Friday night when they scored three headers but the game on Tuesday night will be a lot tougher even though it is a friendly as we all know that Spain are a different class compared to the teams in England’s group. Spain are also top of their qualifying group and have the exact amount of points as their opponents with ten points from four games. They defeated minnows Macedonia in their last game when they won 4-0 and as always dominated possession and eventually the pressure paid off. They scored three goals in the second half of that game and they seem to score the majority of their goals in the second half in recent matches. In their four qualifying matches so far they have scored fifteen goals and thirteen of them have been in the second half. This is a staggering statistic but just shows that possession football with a purpose does pay off and this could be the same at Wembley on Tuesday night.
England vs Spain Predictions
I don’t expect a thrilling game on Tuesday and that is going to be reflected in my England vs Spain tips. My first tip is going to be for the game to have under 2.5 goals. I very rarely back anything in the under goals market however I can’t ignore the fact that the past five meetings between the sides have had under 2.5 goals in every one. Also, as it’s a friendly I expect lots of changes and this causes any rhythm or momentum that either team had to stop so I think odds of 4/5 are great to add in an accumulator and these odds can be found at Paddy Power.
Under 2.5 goals – 4/5 with Paddy Power.

My second England vs Spain prediction is going to be HT – Draw and FT – Spain in the halftime/fulltime market. As mentioned earlier, the Spanish don’t seem to score many goals in the first half and I’m not convinced by the English attacking threat either. I also expect Spain to be too good for Gareth Southgate’s men and will eventually grab a goal or two. Odds for this HT-FT selection are 5/1 at Sky Bet.
Draw HT/Spain FT – 5/1 with Sky Bet.

England vs Spain Team News
As this is a friendly match, the team news could be quite unpredictable. One thing is for sure and that is that Harry Kane won’t be involved as he has returned to Tottenham so that he can get back up to match fitness before the weekend. I expect the majority of the England squad to get some minutes and that includes a potential debut for Burnley defender Michael Keane after his impressive start to the season. I expect Spain to rotate their squad as well and this could mean Manchester United midfielders Juan Mata and Ander Herrera both get a chance to shine as well as Aritz Aduriz who came off the bench to score against Macedonia on Saturday night.
England vs Spain Head to Head
These sides have met in five friendlies in the past twelve years and England have only won one of these and this was back in 2011 when Frank Lampard scored the winner against the then World Champions. Other than that, it’s been all Spain and they have had four victories to nil and based on this evidence it could be a damp squid of a match at Wembley.
England vs Spain Betting Odds
Spain are favourites for this match and they are best priced 32/21 at MarathonBet. The draw is best priced 5/2 at Paddy Power and if you fancy England to claim a famous win then Marathon Bet are offering 83/41 for this to happen. I would advise checking the line-ups before doing any first or anytime goal scorer bets but Aritz Aduriz could be worth a mention if he starts and he is 7/1 to open the scoring with Bet365.
