Could Wayne Rooney be on the verge of rejoining Everton?

Let’s face it, although Manchester United are clearly struggling to find their feet under Jose Mourinho at this particular stage of the season, Wayne Rooney’s long-term future at Old Trafford remains anything but secured right in the here and now.

 

Ronald Koeman’s Everton have subsequently been linked with plotting a rather audacious approach for the current Red Devils and England captain, prompting a potential return to Merseyside for the striker after leaving Goodison Park what seems like a lifetime ago.

 

 

Although not every Toffees fan remains convinced over the possible prospect of watching Wayne Rooney do his thing in an Everton shirt once again…
