Both Teams to Score Acca Tips
England v Netherlands
Fresh from their fantastic 3-2 comeback win over World Champions Germany in Berlin on Saturday night, an energetic and youthful England side come up against a Netherlands side who suffered the humiliation of failing to qualify for Euro 2016 this summer. England’s display in Berlin was magnificent, and the Three Lions showed fantastic heart to bring the game back after going 2-0 down and having their goalkeeper Jack Butland carted off with a fractured ankle in the first half. Despite England’s resilience and attacking flair, defence was still a concern, especially with Gary Cahill looking distinctly out of form and short of confidence at the back. Holland are a team in desperate need of improvement, and despite a good scoring record, their defence was abysmal throughout their unsuccessful qualifying campaign. Danny Blind’s side have conceded 13 in their last five, scoring nine in the process. Both teams are sure to blood some youngsters in the match, but I think we should be in for another treat at Wembley on Tuesday night, and I fully expect this one to produce goals for both sides.
Germany v Italy
Sami Khedira called Germany’s 3-2 collapse to England on Saturday ‘stupid’, and Joachim Low’s side will need to pick their confidence up if they want to overcome a solid Italy side. Antonio Conte’s Italians have played out five straight BTTS winners, and this bodes well for our BTTS accumulator tips ahead of their visit to Germany. Considering Italy managed a 1-1 draw with Spain on Thursday, I’m pretty sure they’ll be able to match a Germany team who possess similar quality throughout the squad. Both sets of players will be looking to impress ahead of June’s European Championships, and given the statistics for either side, as well as both team’s recent performances, I’m confident we’ll see an attacking game of football with plenty of quality on show when Germany and Italy clash on Tuesday night.
Portugal v Belgium
Portugal and Belgium face off in their rescheduled clash on Tuesday night, and Portugal will fancy their chances given that Marc Wilmots’ side will be missing a host of key players. Christian Benteke, Kevin De Bruyne, Eden Hazard, Vincent Kompany, Divock Origi, and Jan Vertonghen are all ruled out of the friendly against Fernando Santos’ Portugal side. Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo missed a penalty for his side in their last outing, the 1-0 friendly defeat to Bulgaria on Friday, and it remains to be seen whether the Real Madrid star will feature given the amount of games he has played this season and with Madrid playing again in El Classico on Saturday. It looks likely that both sides will be looking towards youth in preparation for this friendly, and where there is youth, there will be a whole host of players vying for positions in the squad for the Euros. Belgium have played out 4 BTTS winners in their last 5 International fixtures, and I am confident that when the two youthful squads line up on Tuesday, we will see an attacking enthusiasm from both sides that should translate into goals for both teams.
Coventry v Colchester
Our final fixture for Tuesday’s both teams to score tips is the solitary Football League fixture of the night between 9th placed Coventry and 23rd placed Colchester of League One. Colchester are desperately seeking to avoid relegation, and their results have been extremely erratic all season. But one thing that has been extremely consistent is their ability to play out BTTS winners. The U’s have conceded a staggering 87 goals from their 38 fixtures this season, but they have managed to score 50 goals, the same amount as League One leaders Burton Albion. The East Anglians have played out 4 BTTS winners in their last five League One ties, and I’m confident that their clash with Coventry will produce the same outcome. The Sky Blues’ last outing was a 3-1 defeat to Peterborough, and their defence is not as watertight as they’d like. All the stats are pointing to a high scoring match at the Ricoh Arena on Tuesday, and I’m confident that this clash will bring us our fourth BTTS winner of the night and top off Tuesday’s BTTS accumulator tips nicely.
