Norwich and Swansea also face off at 15:00 in the Premier League, and again this one looks like troubling the scorers for either side. However, Norwich are in the same boat as Swansea, lying in 16th place after a promising start turned into four defeats on the bounce.

 

The Canaries’ 11 games have produced nine in which both teams have scored, and when you look at Swansea’s away form against similar teams, you’d have to fancy both teams getting on the scoresheet in this one. Celta v Valencia – BTTS Yes

 

La Liga provides a clash between third placed Celta Vigo and an underperforming Valencia side at 15:00 on Saturday. Vigo have already amassed 21 goals from their 10 games so far and are proving all the doubters wrong. They managed to thrash Barcelona 4-1 and have stormed into a Champions League position with six wins already.

 

Celta have scored in all but one of their 10 games, but they have also conceded in eight of them, meaning that their clash with Valencia is odds on to produce goals. Valencia have been slightly off the pace at the start of the season but managed a comfortable 3-0 win over Levante in their last outing. Also, Valencia’s last two away from the Mestalla have ended with either side scoring, and Celta will provide an excellent test of whether Los Che have what it takes to challenge for the top places.

 

Stoke v Chelsea – BTTS Yes

 

Mourinho’s men managed a scrappy 2-1 win over Dynamo Kiev midweek, but Saturday’s tea time kick off will provide a stern test of whether or not Chelsea have the mentality to get out of the hole that they have dug for themselves. Stoke are possibly the last team you’d want to face away from home when you’re under the cosh.

 

Chelsea’s defence has been all over the place this season, and you’d expect Stoke to put them under all sorts of pressure, and should they penetrate Chelsea’s defence, their attackers will be faced with the prospect of beating the Potters’ former keeper Asmir Begovic, who made the move to the Bridge in the summer.

 

With the Chelsea defence keeping only two clean sheets from 11 games, and with five defeats already this season, the chances are The Blues are going to have another torrid afternoon at The Potteries. I think this one should be a barn storming BTTS.
