AFC Wimbledon v Portsmouth BTTS

Our first pick for Easter Monday’s BTTS accumulator tips is the League Two clash between 9th placed AFC Wimbledon and 6th placed Portsmouth. Both teams have been in good scoring form throughout the campaign, and I expect their match up on Monday to follow suit. Three out of Wimbledon’s last four League Two games have finished with both teams finding the net, whereas Portsmouth have played out 10 BTTS winners in their last 12 League clashes away from Fratton Park. Seven points separate the two sides ahead of kick off, and given both team’s good scoring form, coupled with Wimbledon’s home advantage, I think the match will be a close affair, but I’m confident it will produce goals for either side.

 

Wigan v Rochdale BTTS

Wigan have hit a fine vein of form as they look to clinch automatic promotion back into the Championship. Their form has been built leading from the front, and throwing caution to the wind in defence recently – summed up by their recent 3-3 draw with Colchester. Three of Wigan’s last four League One fixtures have finished with both teams scoring, and I think their clash with Rochdale will tell a similar story. Rochdale’s last two league fixtures have been high scoring BTTS winners, beating Southend 4-1 and Oldham 3-2. Dale now have four wins on the spin, and if they can maintain this form they may be pushing for a spot in the play-off places come May. Given Rochdale’s fine form, coupled with Wigan’s gung-ho tactics of late, I fully expect this clash to notch up our second BTTS winner in Monday’s BTTS accumulator tips.

Cambridge United v Oxford BTTS

The two famous University cities go head to head on Monday, as 11th placed Cambridge United take on second placed Oxford. Clashes between the two sides are often feisty affairs, and the Abbey Stadium crowd are usually treated to a fair amount of goals in this fixture. The last three clashes at Cambridge have ended as BTTS winners, with the U’s taking the points in two of these home fixtures, the most recent being a thumping 5-1 win in 2014. Furthermore, Oxford have scored in their last seven consecutive away games, notching up a total of 20 goals during this period, with five of these fixtures being BTTS winners. Given the fixture’s competitive nature, as well as both team’s good goal scoring form, I can see this one being a very well fought high scoring clash.

 

Mansfield v Northampton BTTS

14th placed Mansfield take on League leaders, and soon to be crowned League Two Champions (barring a dramatic collapse from their 13-point lead), Northampton on Monday. Northampton are playing football the right way, attacking from the off and their goalscoring record is proof of their fine attacking philosophy. However, attacking football sometimes comes at a price, and the Cobblers have conceded almost a goal a game on average this season, with five of their last seven League Two clashes finishing with both teams scoring. Also, at one stage Northampton were on a run of 11 consecutive BTTS winners away from home. Mansfield are having an inconsistent season, but their home scoring form is relatively solid, with 7 of the last 9 at Field Mill ending with both teams finding the net. Despite the 13 place gap between the two teams, I think Mansfield’s solid scoring form at home will see them find the net. I also think Northampton will win the game, but I envisage a high scoring game, and am confident of this game round off Monday’s BTTS accumulator tips with our fourth BTTS winner.
