This Saturday’s BTTS 4 fold features games from the 3:00pm kick offs across England and comes in at just over 6/1 with William Hill.
This weekend’s both teams to score 4-fold tip:
- Everton v Bournemouth
- Brentford v Fulham
- Exeter v Morecambe
- York v Bristol Rovers
Reasons for these Both Teams to Score Tips:
Everton v Bournemouth
Our opening selection on this weekend’s football tip comes from the Premier League as Everton host Bournemouth at Goodison Park. It’s been a pretty dismal ten days for The Toffees as they were spanked 4-0 in the Merseyside Derby, before crashing out of the FA Cup – albeit rather unfortunately – to Manchester United last weekend. Although Bournemouth aren’t faring much better form wise, a win over their hosts would see them jump above Everton in the table and no doubt knock a couple more nails in Roberto Martinez’ coffin. From a BTTS perspective, though, Everton have only kept one clean sheet in their last nine league games and are already struggling for numbers at the back. The Cherries have now recorded three straight BTTS results and also have the fourth highest ratio for these outcomes away from home. This looks a fairly safe bet to get our both teams to score tip started.
Brentford v Fulham
The second tick on the list comes from The Championship and a game that just screams BTTS between Brentford and Fulham. Not only is this match a London derby, it also features the top two teams in the division for BTTS results. Brentford are always a good shout in this market and head into the clash in really decent form, with five of their last six games also finishing with both teams finding the net. Opponents Fulham should be in your acca most weeks, though, and nine of their last ten matches have finished BTTS results and their overall percentage for the season now stands at 75%. The corresponding fixture earlier in the campaign finished 2-2 at Craven Cottage, and considering neither of these two sides have little to play for now, I fancy there to be a similar outcome this time round.
Exeter v Morecambe
The penultimate choice this week comes from St James’ Park and Exeter City’s home tie with Morecambe in League Two. Although they have dropped points in their last three games, Exeter have had a solid 2016 so far and will only fall short of the playoffs by a handful of points come the end of the season. The Grecians have been involved in some terrifically entertaining clashes over the last few months and several of those matches have finished with both teams finding it onto the scoresheet. City have also scored in nine of their last ten home games on top of that and drew 1-1 at the Globe Arena back in January. I gave opponents Morecambe the Saturday off last week and they duly rewarded me with a 38 minute BTTS result. Cheers lads. Like Fulham earlier in the article, Morecambe might be pretty useless when it comes to backing them for a win, but they are generally a very reliable source for a BTTS result. The Shrimps have a highly encouraging strike-rate of 70% for BTTS outcomes and also have the worst defence in the division after conceding an embarrassing 89 goals this season. If the visitors notch an early goal in this, it’s as good as won.
York v Bristol Rovers
Our anchor leg is another League Two affair as newly relegated York City host promotion chasing Bristol Rovers. The Minstermen ruined our 4 fold last week after their eight game run of BTTS results came grinding to a halt at Accrington. Nevertheless, York City were also relegated on that day so I do feel justice was served in the end! Jokes aside, though, despite their woeful league standing, City actually have one of the best home BTTS records in Europe with 86% of their games at Bootham Crescent finishing with both teams finding the net. Opponents Bristol Rovers have had a terrific season so far and are on the cusp of automatic promotion if they can see off both of the league’s relegated sides in their final two games. Although Rovers’ home form is nothing short of superb, their record on the road has been patchy and they have only won once in their last four away from the Memorial Stadium. However, three of these matches finished with a BTTS outcome and also yielded eight goals for the visitors as well. With all these facts in mind, back this one to steer the ship home.
