Both Teams to Score Betting Tips:
Swansea v Newcastle
Swansea got off to a fantastic start to their Premier League campaign by holding the current Champions to a fully deserved 2-2 draw. Gary Monk’s side had more shots (17 – 11), more shots on target (10-3) and more corners (8-3) than Jose Mourinho’s men, and if they continue in this vein, the sky is the limit.
Steve McLaren started his Newcastle career with a 2-2 draw against last season’s surprise package Southampton. The Magpies were a constant threat to the Saints goal, and with new boy Georginio Wijnaldum netting on his Magpies’ debut, the Newcastle faithful will be hopeful that this season will bring them more joy than the last campaign.
With a combined eight goals in both teams opening day fixtures, it is safe to say that their encounter at The Liberty Stadium will not be a defensive match. Newcastle had a poor record of scoring away from home last term, but under McLaren, this looks very likely to change. Get this both teams to score betting tip off to a flyer with this selection.
MK Dons v Preston
MK began their first ever Championship campaign with a crushing 4-1 away victory over Rotherham. The Don’s ran out easy winners, and could quite easily have had six or seven. MK Dons’ scoring record at home is fantastic; they have 20 goals at Stadium MK in their last 5 League matches.
Preston also gained promotion to the Championship, via the play-offs last season and they began their campaign with a 0-0 draw against promotion hopefuls Middlesbrough. Both teams like to play open and attacking football, and with both teams having been promoted last season, they will both be fully up for the fight. I expect goals aplenty in Milton Keynes on Saturday.
Barnsley v Burton Albion
Burton have a fantastic scoring record away from home, and have 12 goals in their last 6 matches away from the Pirelli stadium. Whereas Barnsley desperately need to pick up their league form after a poor opening day display.
Barnsley have failed to score just once in their last 19 home matches, and I feel that on the balance of things, both teams are odds on to score when they meet on Saturday.
Borussia Dortmund v Borussia Monchengladbach
New Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel has seen his team bang in the goals lately. Their pre-season friendlies were all high scoring affairs with 30 goals from just seven games. Their competitive form has not been too different either, with eight goals in their opening three fixtures in Europa League Qualifying and in the first round of the DFB Pokal.
Monchengladbach finished third last season, and with a goal difference on +27, they were a team very accustomed to notching a few goals. They have presided over a 4-1 victory over St Pauli in the DFB Pokal, as well as 2-1 friendly wins against Porto and Standard Liege in recent weeks. I think this one is a nailed on BTTS.
