Leicester vs Arsenal predictions and Premier League betting tips for this weekend’s Saturday evening kick-off including an anytime goalscorer tip.
The second round of fixtures of the 2016/17 Premier League season is upon us and this particular match pits the reigning Champions against the runners up. Arsenal took 6 points from the two games between these two teams last season, winning 25-2 in this fixture and dramatically winning 2-1 at the Emirates, although it was in vein as Leicester went on to secure the most unlikely and amazing Premier league title in history. With both teams having lost their opening games last week, to have 0 points from two games would be a disaster for both of these teams.
Leicester
The champions Leicester have only lost one but arguably the most important of the star players that helped them to become the most historic league champions ever last season, N’golo Kante to Chelsea. The ever-energetic midfielder was replaced by Nampalys Mendy from Nice for around £10m, the club have become famous for bringing in players who are not known to be at the elite level and have them become superstars within a season, the central midfielder is a very well rounded player and is seem as a similar but not maybe as efficient replacement for the Frenchman who has departed for Chelsea. The club have also managed to convince attacking stars Jamie Vardy and PFA player of the year Riyad Mahrez to remain at the club and to both sign new deals, many clubs have been after the forward pair after their amazing exploits last season but Arsenal were the closest to signing the two after almost having Vardy signed until he rejected the deal to stay with Leicester and had a £30m bid rejected for the Algerian.

Arsenal
Arsenal have been typically frustrating to their fans throughout this transfer window, signing a quality central midfielder in Granit Xhaka from Borussia Mönchengladbach for more than £30m, but their squad is already packed with midfield talent. The two other areas of the pitch are in desperate need of quality additions, two of the senior centre backs including the newly appointed club captain Per Mertesacker (who many fans feel is not good enough to start for the club currently) and Gabriel are injured and the club has made a good signing for the future in Rob Holding from Bolton for around £2m, the 19 year old has plenty of promise but to put the youngster who was playing for a nearly relegated Championship team to starting in the Premier League for a title-challenging team is ludicrous from a manager of Wenger’s experience and class. The lack of a striker addition also has fans worried about another season without properly challenging for the top spot in the Premier League.

Leicester vs Arsenal Predictions
My first Leicester vs Arsenal betting tip is both teams to score at odds of 4/7 with Betfred or if you want slightly better value then go with draw and both teams to score at 7/2 with Bet Victor. As previously stated the two fixtures between these two in the 15/16 season both finished with both teams scoring, the two teams are very clinical in the attacking third but can be suspect when it comes to keeping clean sheets, also the opening game of this season last weekend ended as 2-1 and 3-4 losses for Leicester away to newly promoted and in crisis Hull City and for Arsenal at home to top 4 rivals Liverpool in a 7-goal thriller.

Anytime Goalscorer Prediction
I’m going into the anytime goalscorer odds for my second Leicester City vs Arsenal prediction and my money is on Mahrez to score anytime at 11/4 with Coral. The 2015/16 PFA player of the season scored 17 goals last season, which for a winger is an outstanding amount of goals and made him the 5th highest scorer of the season behind 4 quality strikers. He scored a penalty last week against Hull so will likely take any spot kicks and will definitely take any free-kicks which he is more than capable of scoring directly from. He will also want to show Arsenal what they missed out on in this matchup.
Leicester vs Arsenal Betting Tips
Both teams to score – 4/7 with Betfred.
Draw and BTTS – 7/2 with Bet Victor.
Mahrez to score anytime – 11/4 with Coral.
