Both Teams to Score and Win Tips for a 77/1 Bet on 20th August

Both teams to score and win tips for this weekend’s coupon on Saturday afternoon including a Championship pick and two other Football League predictions.

For this Saturday’s score and win tip we’re sticking with the 3pm kick offs in England and have come up with tasty looking treble that comes in at a massive price of 77/1 with Bet365. As always, we need a lot of parameters to fall our way if we’re to hit all three, so it doesn’t hurt to hedge your bets a little. With this in mind, a Trixie would return 16/1 for the double with the shortest odds and this is certainly not to be sniffed at on any Saturday afternoon.

BTTS and Win Tips – 20th August

Huddersfield v Barnsley – Huddersfield to win BTTS

We’re going to throw a bit of caution to the wind for our opening selection and include the Yorkshire Derby between Huddersfield and Barnsley. As with many derbies, form can often go out of the window which does make this choice rather precarious. However, the hosts have started the season in excellent form considering they have faced both Aston Villa and Newcastle away from home and still sit in a four-way tie at the top of the table on seven points. The both teams to score stats are very strong – the Terriers have also recorded three straight BTTS results in their opening trio of fixtures and also had the third highest percentage for goals per game in the 2015/16 Championship season. Opponents Barnsley have also had an encouraging start to the campaign following promotion last year. Despite losing their first game away at Ipswich 4-2, The Tykes have now recorded back to back wins at Oakwell leaving them with an impressive six points from a possible nine. Nevertheless, Huddersfield won the last meeting between the two sides a couple of years ago 5-0, and with home advantage, I fancy them to nick this one with both teams scoring.

Millwall v Sheffield United – Millwall to win BTTS

For our second selection on the BTTS and win tip we’re going to head to the clash between Millwall and Sheffield United at The Den. Both of these sides had an absolute stinker in midweek and head into Saturday’s match with a point to prove. The hosts had started the season well with an excellent opening day win over Oldham, before playing out an entertaining 2-2 draw at the Stadium MK. However, their trip to London Road on Tuesday was far less fruitful and resulted in a 5-1 thrashing at the hands of Peterborough. Opponents Sheffield United started the campaign as one of the favourites for promotion along with Millwall, but their return of one point from nine available does not make for much encouragement. The Blades could not have hand-picked a better tie to get their season up and running on Tuesday, but they were promptly battered by a previously winless Southend side at Bramall Lane. Although nothing tends to surprise me when it comes to Sheffield United, I can see Millwall winning a high scoring match this Saturday with both teams finding the net.

Accrington v Exeter – Accrington to win BTTS

The anchor leg for our football tip for this weekend features the tie between Accrington and Exeter City at The Crown Ground. Stanley have started the new campaign in mixed form following a win, draw and a defeat, but still remain one of the promotion favourites for the season ahead. The hosts were rather unfortunate not to be plying their trade in League One this year after being pipped on the line by Bristol Rovers and finishing in a gut-wrenching fourth place. However, Accrington had an excellent record in the BTTS market last season after picking up no fewer than 13 BTTS wins – a very strong BTTS stat for this weekend, as well as having a highly impressive 78% strike-rate for BTTS encounters at home. Opponents Exeter City have had a diabolical start to the 2016/17 campaign and currently find themselves rooted to the foot of the table with no points. Considering The Grecians began the season with back to back home fixtures against perennial strugglers Crawley and Hartlepool, this only highlights their disappointing league position. The two matches between the sides last year saw both teams scoring, with the corresponding fixture at Crown Ground finishing 4-2 to Accrington. A similar result this weekend should round things off nicely.
