Goals Galore 4-Fold Betting Tips for Saturday 3rd August

The new season is finally here, and like me you probably can't wait to get your first bets of the season on and try to get some of the bookies money on a winning Goals Galore bet.

Personally, i approach the first couple of weeks of the season with caution and keep my stakes low until form and certain trends can be identified. It's always difficult to know for sure how new managers/players will do at clubs and who the surprise package(s) in a division might be.

I'm going to go for a Goals Galore (both teams to score) 4-fold for the first weekend of the season, again i would advise low stakes as the first couple of weeks can be quite quiet where goals are concerned.

Both Teams to Score Tip for Saturday

Barnsley v Wigan

Barnsley ended last season really well which saw them narrowly avoid relegation, and i think they might fare a lot better this season under David Flitcroft, they did particularly well at home, where they managed to score in 11 of their last 12 games. Wigan have a new manager in Owen Coyle, who has always seemed to have quite an attacking philosophy, they should score plenty of goals in this division with the likes of Grant Holt and yet their defence could still struggle at this level in my opinion.

Birmingham v Watford

When choosing a potential Goals Galore match, i always like to pick a game where the away side has a good chance of scoring. Watford were particularly potent in this division last year, scoring 85 goals, 12 more than any other side, despite losing Matej Vydra they still have considerable firepower. I think Birmingham could struggle this year, but still have good strikers at this level in the shape of Marlon King and Nikola Zigic.

Shrewsbury v Mk Dons

Both clubs have the same managers as last term so hopefully they will produce the same type of game, they produced  a 2-2 draw and 2-3 away win last year so i'm hoping for more of the same. Mk Dons are perennial promotion candidates and will have goals in them, whilst Shrewsbury will be looking to build on a solid 16th place last year after promotion the previous season.

Bury v Chesterfield

I expect Chesterfield to be strong promotion candidates this season, so with them being the away side in this encounter i felt it was a solid goals galore selection. Bury have a couple of strikers who are strong at this level in Ashley Grimes and Shaun Harrad who should score enough goals to make them competitive this season.

The 4-fold pays a best 9.49/1 at Betway, 9.26/1 at Bet365 and 9.15/1 at Bet Victor.
