Saturday lunchtime sees league leaders Chelsea make the short trip to The Emirates Stadium to face fifth-placed Arsenal in what should be a captivating spectacle in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

Arsenal thoroughly deserved the point they earned at The Etihad on Sunday, and arguably they could have snatched all three.  The Gunners are yet to taste defeat this season, and have conceded only two goals in their opening five matches.  Despite starting slowly with two 0-0 draws, Arsene Wenger’s side now look like they are starting to motor, having registered wins over Liverpool and Southampton prior to that draw in Manchester.

Chelsea have set the early pace in this season’s league campaign, bagging 13 points from a possible 15, although it could be argued that they have not had the toughest of starts.  It will be interesting to see how they fare against a better quality opponent in Arsenal.  So far, Reading are the only team to have breached The Blues defence in league competition when they gave Di Matteo’s side a fright a few weeks back, eventually going down 4-2 at Stamford Bridge.

I am not sure what the final result of this match will be, although I am quietly confident that there won’t be many goals scored.  Last season this fixture ended 0-0 and I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see the same scoreline once again.  My standout bet is under 0.5 goals at 11/1 with William Hill, but just in case of a goal or two, I would suggest backing under 1.5 and 2.5 goals as saver bets.
