When Michy Batshuayi first opted to join Antonio Conte’s Blues down at Stamford Bridge this summer, big things were expected of the former Marseille front-man who recently hit the ground running with Belgium at Euro 2016.
The ex-Ligue 1 front-man looked ready and raring to go within the Premier League this term, but as the likes of Diego Costa and co. have nonetheless proven somewhat un-droppable among Conte’s first team plans of late, it remains to be seen whether or not this latest summer import really has what it takes to cut it among the upper echelons of the English top-flight.
Many believe that Michy Batshuayi is somewhat wasted at Stamford Bridge…
Michy Batshuayi has too much potential to be rotting on Chelsea's bench.

…and as the 2016/17 campaign has largely passed the Belgian international by so far at Chelsea…
Batshuayi won't get a game till next season at this rate

…you couldn’t blame the striker for questioning his initial decision to sign for the Blues in the first place…
Batshuayi will be asking himself why he signed for Chelsea.

Although some have seemingly cast the former Marseille man aside in the wake of his recent failure to set the Premier League alight…
Batshuayi very poor. Tbh.

…some Premier League onlookers nonetheless feel bad for Michy Batshuayi given the context of his current situation…
Imagine paying 35m for a player, only to let him rot in the U23s. Poor Batshuayi

There are fans among the English top-flight who wouldn’t mind seeing the striker arrive at their own club in the not too distant future however…
Still salty we didn't sign Batshuayi and ended up getting Sissoko. Michy would've been exactly what we needed and Poch clearly wanted him.

…and as some Chelsea supporters would apparently be non-fussed by his potential early exit this January…
I would allow Batshuayi to leave on loan or if we can get good money and we sign Kasper Dolberg, he will be world class mark my words #CFC
— Max Balfour (@KurtheKiller) November 22, 2016
…maybe the powerful Belgian front-man could be on his way out after all…
Just me that thinks Batshuayi is an awful signing at the moment, I'd be sending him to Bristol city on loan and getting abraham back

So whilst the former Ligue 1 star has admittedly been a little unlucky so far with Chelsea this season…
Diego is so on form right now its a shame that Batshuayi doesn't get more minutes. he deserves a few at least
— Bryon (@BryonCFC) November 21, 2016
…his recent move to Stamford Bridge certainly hasn’t turned out as planned thus far!
Batshuayi living his dream in England by playing in Chelsea reserves
