After convincingly seeing off a rather ineffective Watford outfit last time out on Merseyside – a somewhat one-sided affair that eventually saw the Reds put six goals past the onrushing Hornets – Jurgen Klopp and his in-form Liverpool squad will likely remain full of confidence ahead of the not so highly anticipated international break.
Many within the English footballing community have subsequently labelled Liverpool as major title contenders for the 2016/17 campaign – for although Klopp’s side have certainly looked a little shaky at the back on occasion throughout the current season – no one could accuse Liverpool of failing to take their attacking duties seriously under their enigmatic German manager.
The Anfield faithful have obviously been left rather jubilant after this weekend’s heroics…
Liverpool win 6-1 and look like genuine title contenders. Don't want to get too carried away yet but the signs are positive.#LFC #YNWA

…and whilst not every Premier League onlooker can ultimately envisage Liverpool being able to maintain their aggressive title push across the remainder of the season…
Gonna dress up as a league title and scare Liverpool Football Club

…Jurgen Klopp’s outfit certainly seem to represent the most potent and dangerous force currently operating among the English top-flight…
This Liverpool team will take some beating…favourites for the title by a mile..that just makes me sick

…even certain Everton fans out there seemingly aren’t scared to admit it…
Would kill me if Liverpool won the title but they're genuinely a massive contender. They're miles ahead of us – it's actually frightening.

That said, Liverpool certainly aren’t the only in-form side looking to challenge for the Premier League title this term…
People ruling out Chelsea for a title challenge but hyping up Liverpool. Chelsea are a much more all rounded team than them.

…and whilst their fans certainly seem to be riding the wave of optimism down at Anfield right in the here and now…
Judging by the fans, may as well give Liverpool the title now, and the world cup, and Wimbledon, and the ryder cup, and the 6 nations cup.
— Neil Johnson (@n_gjohnson) 6 November 2016
…history arguably tells us that anything can still take place for Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool between now and the end of the season…
That's it. Title over. We all know that once Liverpool go top they don't throw it away.

But as things seemingly couldn’t look any rosier for the Anfield faithful at this particular stage in the proceedings…
Can't believe we are top of the League! What a performance by the lads! Liverpool all the way. Fantastic display! Despite (-) spending. #LFC

…who can really blame Reds supporters for dreaming big this term?
When I was a kid I dreamed that in my lifetime I would see Liverpool win FA cup, champions league and a Prem Title. Could it be this year?
