Could he be the right man for England after all?

Although England hardly served to impress all that much against both Malta and Slovenia last time out upon the international stage, many ardent fans of the Three Lions have nonetheless been left impressed by the managerial credentials and composed demeanour of the man tasked with filling in for Big Sam Allardyce on a temporary basis.

 

Gareth Southgate – former Middlesbrough captain and ex-England U21 boss – has already brought a new air of confidence about the current Three Lions squad. His relationship with some of this country’s younger talents could prove vital at upcoming major international tournaments – and contrary to what some initially expected of the proposed ‘yes-man’ – Southgate has already seen fit to drop Wayne Rooney from the Three Lions fold in favour of a far more youthful approach.    

 

 

Whilst some believe that Gareth Southgate does indeed deserve his fair crack at the whip when it comes to selecting Big Sam’s permanent successor in the England hot-seat…

Yet whilst many have taken to Southgate’s recent decision to drop Wayne Rooney from the first team fold…
