Both teams to score betting tips for an accumulator that starts late on Saturday and goes into Sunday’s matches over in the MLS.
This Sunday’s BTTS 4 fold features all four matches from across the pond in the MLS and is an early starter at 12am on Saturday night/Sunday morning. The straight accumulator comes in at a tidy price of 7/1 and will hopefully set us up with a nice little bankroll for Sunday afternoon’s football.
The best odds for this are 8/1 at 888Sport so make you have an account with them.
Both Teams to Score Tips 21st August
Philadelphia Union v Toronto FC
The opening fixture of the BTTS tip sees Philadelphia Union take on in-form Toronto FC at 12am. Both of these sides are right in the mix at the top of the Eastern conference where as little as five points separates the top five teams. Philly currently occupy fourth spot but head into the clash in mixed form having only taken eight points from their last eight games. However, like many of the teams in the MLS, their BTTS record is highly encouraging at a 67% overall percentage, with four of the last five games finishing with both teams finding the net and over 2.5 goals as well. Opponents Toronto FC are the form team in the league at present having taken 17 points from their last eight games, and a win will be enough to see them usurp NYC at the top of the conference. From our bet’s perspective, though, their last four away matches in a row have seen a BTTS outcome so this seems as good a place to start as any.
Montreal Impact v Chicago Fire
Our second selection takes us to Canada as Montreal Impact take on struggling Chicago Fire. Montreal is where old Chelsea favourite Didier Drogba currently plies his trade and his side find themselves in fifth place in the Eastern conference at present, albeit with two games in hand on most of their rivals above them. From a BTTS perspective, though, Montreal have been absolute dynamite in the last few weeks with eight of their last nine matches finishing with a BTTS result. Opponents Chicago Fire are statistically the worst side in the MLS at present and have only won four of their 22 matches so far this season. Already this doesn’t potentially bode well for both teams scoring, but Chicago have appeared to have found their shooting boots in recent weeks having scored 5 goals in their last three games, with all of those finishing with four or more goals and both teams scoring. Based on recent form in the market, we should be set for a winner here.
New England Revolution v Columbus Crew
Our penultimate selection takes us to New England as the Revolution face off against Columbus Crew. This is a grudge match of sorts as it sees former Columbus striker Kei Kamara – last year’s joint top MLS scorer – take on his old club whom he left in very acrimonious circumstances earlier in the season. Regardless of the sideshow, both of these sides head into the clash in poor form and desperately need to points if they are to get their seasons back on track. From a BTTS standpoint, though, both teams have encouraging strike-rates in the market with 58% and 68% of their overall matches finishing with both sides making it onto the scoresheet. As well as this, five of their last seven meetings in all competitions have resulted in BTTS, with New England winning the most recent 3-1. Considering the Revolution have conceded 11 goals in their last three games and Columbus 8 in theirs, I would be very surprised if one of these teams keeps a clean sheet this time round.
Colorado Rapids v Orlando City
Our anchor leg features the most reliable team the MLS for BTTS results as Orlando City travel to high-flying Colorado Rapids at 2am. The hosts currently have the second best record in the MLS at present, but do still command a BTTS strike-rate of well over 50% and have seen three of their last four games finishing via a BTTS result as well. Although this is hardly eye-catching, it is the visitors that were main reason for this matches inclusion this Sunday. Orlando City are the league leaders for BTTS results at present with a whopping 83% of their games this season finishing with both teams finding the net. This actually equates to 19 of their 23 games so far this season, with nine of those matches finishing with a 2-2 scoreline – a 17/1 shot with Bet Victor if anyone fancies a side bet. Although the hosts have an excellent defensive record this year, they did concede five away at NYC recently and Orlando have scored 10 goals in their last five matches. With this in mind, back this match to steer us home.
