Antonio Conte labelled Chelsea’s draw at Swansea as two points dropped. Having took three wins from three, the Blues fell just short of a fourth straight win. That leaves them two points shy of leaders Manchester City, but they should really be top. They failed to kill off the game when they had the chance, while defensive errors cost them. So far Conte has yet to translate his Italian defending over to his new club. They’ve leaked four goals so far this term. Things could be about to get worse for them, after John Terry was ruled out for 10 days. The Chelsea captain picked up an injury at the Liberty, and now he misses the Friday night clash.

 

Liverpool

Liverpool have made an inconsistent start, but they really hit top form last weekend. Jurgen Klopp has amassed an impressive forward line, which shot in to life against Leicester. The Foxes were poor at the back, but the Reds took full advantage with their blistering pace. That’s something they’ve shown when given the chance, like their opening weekend win at Arsenal. Klopp has a side who are perfectly set up for those big away games, but they need to work on breaking down smaller sides. Ahead of their trip to Stamford Bridge, they’ll be pretty confident in their counter attacking threat.

 

Chelsea vs Liverpool Predictions

 

While Chelsea are favourites here, Liverpool have a side who can cause the Blues problems. They’ll be waiting to push on the counter, especially with David Luiz replacing John Terry. Both of these two missed out on European football, so they both head in to this clash fresh. They seem very equally matched, with the two teams struggling at the back but thriving going forward.
