Everton vs Middlesbrough Predictions, Betting Tips and Preview

Everton vs Middlesbrough betting tips and predictions for Saturday night’s Premier League fixture and the best odds for our tipsters’ two selections.

Everton will be looking to continue their unbeaten start to the season on Saturday when they face Middlesbrough at Goodison Park. Here are some predictions for the Saturday evening kick-off.

Everton

Everton have made an impressive start to the season with three wins out of four in the league and a comfortable win in the EFL cup. The only time where they haven’t been victorious this season was when they faced Tottenham on the opening day of the season and they drew 1-1 and this isn’t a bad result by any means. Ronald Koeman was an exciting appointment for the Evertonians when he was appointed manager and he has certainly made an impact already. Everton are a lot tougher to break down than they were last season under Roberto Martinez and that is something that Koeman certainly identified in the summer. He bought in experienced goal-keeper Maarten Stekelenburg for a fee of less than £1m and Ashley Williams was bought in from Swansea for around £10m which could provide to be signing of the season. They are still very exciting to watch as well with new boy Yannick Bolasie providing unpredictably and excitement and with Romelu Lukaku now on form after his hat-trick against Sunderland they will be extremely confident going into Saturday’s game.

Middlesbrough

I think that Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka will be relatively happy with his sides start to the season so far, they have four points in four games and this has put them in the top half of the table at this early stage. They would have been disappointed to lose at home to Crystal Palace but they were still in the game right at the end and could have snatched a point. This will be Boro’s toughest match of the season so far and they will need their big players to perform if they are to get anything out of this game. Alvaro Negredo has been quiet since a goal and two assists in his opening two games for the club and he missed a few chances against Crystal Palace last week but he will be hoping to get on the scoresheet against Everton just like he did when he played for Manchester City a couple of seasons ago. This will certainly be a tough test for the Boro centre-backs Ben Gibson and Daniel Ayala; Lukaku and Bolasie can be unplayable when they are both on form and I can see the Everton duo having a lot of joy against the Middlesbrough backline.

Everton vs Middlesbrough Predictions

Everton are favourites for this game with the best odds for an Everton win 3/4 at William Hill. If you fancy a Middlesbrough to grab something from the game they are 29/10 for the draw and 49/10 for the win at 888Sport.

Scorer and Win Tips

My first Everton vs Middlesbrough betting tip is going to be for Lukaku to score anytime and Everton to win. Now that the Belgian forward is out of his goal drought, I can see him firing in goals consistently and I do think that Everton will be too strong for Middlesbrough so enhanced odds of 9/4 for this to happen at William Hill is a fantastic bet.

Handicap Betting Tips

My second Everton vs Middlesbrough prediction is going to be Everton -1 handicap. I think they will have too much firepower for the Boro defence and can see a comfortable win just like their win against Sunderland on Monday night, therefore odds of 21/10 for this to happen at Paddy Power is going to be my second Premier League betting tip this weekend.
