Swansea v Chelsea predictions and Premier League betting tips for this weekend’s fixture on Saturday 9th April 2016 – kick-off time is 3pm.
Swansea host Chelsea on Saturday at 3pm in the Premier League match at the Liberty Stadium and our football tipster has got the best three football tips.
Swansea v Chelsea Predictions
This game smacks of a dead rubber in my opinion. A few weeks ago I’m sure Swansea fans were thinking this game might have been a very tricky game in which they may have needed to win at least a point in order to stave off relegation. However, their recent results have given them a nice 10-point cushion on Sunderland in 18th. Although they have played an extra match, I’d be amazed if Swansea were to get sucked back into the battle now, as I think they have enough between now and the end of the season to win at least one more match which would almost guarantee safety.
Chelsea have been the 3rd best team since Christmas in terms of points gathered, and that’s testament to Guus Hiddink. This is the second time he has come into the Chelsea hot seat in difficult times and he has a knack of keeping them competitive as well as making them very tough to beat. They’re unbeaten since December in the Premier League but they have probably drawn too many matches, especially at home for Guus’ liking.
Both teams pride themselves on not giving too much away at the back, more recently in Chelsea’s case as earlier in the season they were shocking defensively. Swansea would be higher if they had a proven goalscorer up top. They’ve struggled to replace Wilfried Bony and tend to rely slightly too much on Gylfi Sigurdsson. I think this could be a low scoring match with not too many clear cut chances either way, so my first tip of the match is going to be a draw. Bet365 are offering 5/2 for the draw, and I believe this to be the best value in the outright choices for my first Swansea v Chelsea prediction.
My second Premier League betting tip for Swansea vs Chelsea this weekend is for Under 2.5 match goals. At the Liberty Stadium, there tends not to be too many goals in the matches. Swansea have only scored 15 all season at home, and conceded just 18. Chelsea, though on good form, have definitely got no chance of Champions League, and secretly may be reluctant to want to fight in the Europa League next season, so I wouldn’t be expecting any Chelsea players over-exerting themselves now, especially those due to represent their countries in France for Euro 2016 this summer. You can get 8/11 with Ladbrokes for Under 2.5 match goals.
My final Swansea v Chelsea betting tip is a correct score prediction and I’m on the game to end 1-1. As I’ve stated I’ve pretty much combined both my previous football tips and went for a correct score line to really boost the profit margins in this match. I do think that it is excellent value from Bet365 to offer 1-1 for the correct score here.
