Both Teams to Score Tips
Exeter v Barnet BTTS
14th meets 15th in League Two as Exeter City face Barnet at St James’ Park. The Grecians have played out 6 consecutive BTTS winners at home and their match up with Barnet looks likely to follow the trend. Barnet are five points behind the Westcountry side and a win over Exeter would bring them within two points of their mid table rivals. Barnet have racked up BTTS winner in every other game, with four from their last eight, and this pattern, coupled with Exeter’s free-scoring attack and leaky defending, suggest Friday’s clash will produce goals for both teams. I'm backing the League Two clash as my first tip for Friday’s BTTS accumulator tips.
Colchester v Doncaster BTTS
Rock-bottom Colchester take on Doncaster on Friday in what looks likely to be a high scoring relegation six-pointer. Colchester have the league’s leakiest defence by quite some way, conceding an abysmal 86 goals from their 37 games in the League. However, the U’s scoring form has been extremely good for a team ravaged by poor form and languishing at the bottom of the table. Colchester have 46 goals from 37 games, just four fewer than League leaders Burton. League Two’s bottom team have played out six BTTS winners in the last eight, including an epic 3-3 draw over Wigan in their previous home game, and the visit of Doncaster looks likely to produce a similar result. Donny are themselves struggling against relegation, currently sitting in 21st place. They haven't notched up a win in 12 League games, grabbing just 2 points from a possible 36. However, their last two have seen both teams scoring, and when faced with the prospect of facing a defensively shambolic Colchester side, I'm pretty confident both teams will get on the scoresheet on Friday.
Accrington v Leyton Orient BTTS
Accrington’s home BTTS form is unrivalled in the Football League, with virtually every game at the Crown Ground producing goals for both teams. 18 out of Accrington’s last 20 home games have seen both teams find the net, and it's hard to look past this statistic with the visit of Leyton Orient on Friday. Orient have scored in their last 15 consecutive games away from home, and you have to fancy them notching against fifth placed Accrington. However, given the overwhelming record of BTTS winners in Accrington, I'm confident this clash will bring us our third BTTS winner of Friday night.
Morecambe v Plymouth BTTS
Our final pick for Friday’s BTTS accumulator tips is BTTS-regulars Morecambe and their clash with promotion-pushing Plymouth. Morecambe have become a virtual-mainstay in our BTTS accumulator tips this season, and for good reason. 16 of their last 20 League Two games have finished with goals for both sides, and the last eight consecutive matches at the Globe Arena have finished as BTTS winners. Fourth placed Plymouth were looking dead-certs for promotion up until recently. However, their form has severely dropped off and their usually solid defence has begun conceding goals. Argyle have now conceded in their last four games in League Two, including a 2-1 defeat to Accrington and a 2-2 draw with Oxford United. There are 14 places between the two sides, but given the statistics I am confident that Morecambe v Plymouth will produce our fourth BTTS winner of Friday night and round off our BTTS accumulator tips nicely.
