Both Teams to Score Tips 19th March
Everton v Arsenal
After being dumped out of the Champions League on Wednesday to an imperious Barcelona side, as well as missing out on an FA Cup Semi-Final after their shock defeat to Watford last weekend, Arsenal travel to a free-scoring Everton knowing that the Premier League title is their only hope for silverware this season. Everton are the Premier League’s third highest scorers behind Man City and joint top-scorers Spurs and Leicester. The Toffees have produced 51 goals from their 28 matches, but they have also conceded 39 this season. The Merseysiders’ last two League games have produced 9 goals in total, with both teams scoring in each. Arsenal have played out 4 straight BTTS winners in the League, gaining just four points from a possible 12, and this lack of defensive resolve looks like costing them the title – once again. When The Gunners travel to Goodison on Saturday for the early kick off, I'm fully expecting both teams to continue their current form and bag our first BTTS winner for Saturday’s BTTS accumulator tips.
Chelsea v West Ham
Guys Hiddink has rejuvenated Chelsea since he took over, and has given the Blues a faint hope of reaching the top four. However, they need to make up 11 points in only 9 games and they cannot afford any slip ups along the way. West Ham have top-four ambitions of their own, and will prove an extremely tricky test for a Chelsea side reeling from their Champions League exit last week as well as an FA Cup exit last weekend. In terms of both teams scoring at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, the stats make it extremely likely. Chelsea have played out 5 consecutive BTTS winners in the League, and 7 straight BTTS winners at Stamford Bridge. West Ham’s last outing was a highly entertaining 3-2 win over Everton, and 5 of The Hammers’ last 6 have provided goals for both teams. The way this match is set up, and given the form of both teams, I'm extremely confident that this clash will provide us wth our second BTTS winner for Saturday's BTTS accumulator tips.
Leyton Orient v Morecambe
Our third pick for Saturday’s BTTS accumulator tips are our regular BTTS winners Morecambe. The Shrimps hardly ever let us down, with 12 of their last 13 League fixtures ending with both teams scoring. The Shrimps almost always find a way to score – failing to find the net just twice in their last 20 League games. Morecambe have also conceded in their last 13 consecutive fixture in League Two. 18th placed Morecambe come up against an inconsistent 8th placed Leyton Orient side who have only notched one BTTS winner in their last three, but I'm confident things will change when they meet the BTTS-Kings Morecambe on Saturday.
Doncaster v Peterborough
Our final pick for Saturday's BTTS tip is the League One tie between 20th placed Doncaster and 16th placed Peterborough. Both teams are in abysmal form, with Peterborough failing to win in 7 – losing six and drawing one – whilst Doncaster haven't managed three points for 11 games, picking up just 2 points from a possible 33. It's safe to say both teams need a confidence boost, and considering Peterborough have played out five consecutive BTTS winners, I'm confident that the two sides will be able to find the net on Saturday. For all Donny’s atrocious form, they have found the net in four of their last six ties at home – unfortunately for them, the other teams also managed to score in all six. However, when The Posh turn up on Saturday, I'm expecting a defensively-shambolic clash between two sides extremely lacking in defensive resilience. I fully expect this one to produce our fourth BTTS winner for Saturday's BTTS tip.
