Let’s face it – although no modern day footballer can justifiably claim to be operating within the prime stages of their career at the grand old age of 34-years-old – there are ultimately few top-flight teams that wouldn’t love to have Zlatan Ibrahimovic on board at their club next season, regardless of his unmistakably aging status.
The infamous Swedish international will see his current contract at PSG reportedly come to an end upon the final culmination of the 2015/16 campaign, and as the former Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan, AC Milan and Barcelona striker is yet to try his hand among the English game as of yet, perhaps Zlatan could indeed be tempted by a big money move to the Premier League this summer.
So then, whilst the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United have constantly been linked with the current PSG striker throughout his glistening career at the top, could it really be West Ham and Slaven Bilic who eventually manage to tempt Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the English top-flight in the not too distant future?
Well, although several frequent Upton Park goers would seemingly love to have the big man on board next season…
West Ham have enquired about Zlatan. pic.twitter.com/eAx2YGCC5v

…this particular transfer rumour nonetheless seems rather unlikely to take place in the cold light of day…
Am I actually seeing Zlatan to West Ham rumours haha! No disrespect to WestHam, it's just Zlatan would never take on that kind of challenge.

That said, West Ham’s latest foreign talisman could prove somewhat influential when push really comes to shove this summer…
You never know, Zlatan might like the idea of playing for West Ham, i mean who wouldn't want to play in the same team as Dimitri Payet!!

…whilst certain fans have taken to the news with far more vigour and child-like excitement than others…
These rumours linking Ibrahimovic to West Ham are crazy. If he joins us I'll legally change my middle name to Zlatan.

Listen to me very carefully: if Zlatan comes to West Ham I will get a tattoo of him eating a taco on my chest – like a full chest piece

Some Hammers supporters have approached these latest developments with a fair amount of trepidation and suspicion however…
West Ham "enquire" about Zlatan is genius PR. Never gonna happen but brilliant for exposure!!
— ⚒Steven O'Sullivan⚒ (@TheSullis) 26 February 2016
…and as the thought of Zlatan Ibrahimovic lining up in the claret & blue would have seemed nothing short of ridiculous just a few short years ago, who can really blame them?
Yet with the upcoming move to London’s Olympic Stadium on the horizon for Hammers fans far and wide this term, perhaps there is a slim chance that David Sullivan & David Gold could eventually see this one over the line after all…
West Ham absolutely have to sign Zlatan. Failure to do so should see the Olympic Stadium given to Millwall.
— Rob Brown (@robbro7) 18 February 2016
…even if a small section of West Ham fans aren’t exactly over the moon with such an admittedly ambitious notion…
Can't believe there's actually West Ham Fans on here that Woudnt take Zlatan, do you watch European football? The guy scores for fun.

Yes, he’s likely to command massive wages this summer, and his notorious reputation could in-fact serve to disrupt Slaven Bilic’s dressing room next term with all things fairly taken into account, but as Zlatan Ibrahimovic is literally one of the most successful and recognisable players of his entire generation…
…maybe West Ham really could be going places next season with the enigmatic Swedish international firmly among the action for the Hammers!
