The Hammers have been in some good form of late and Slaven Bilic has them playing some very attractive football, Payet has recently returned from injury and looks just as good, if not better than before. In West Hams last five games, they have only lost once and can boast an impressive three victories. They currently sit in 7th place in the league and a win can really propel them towards a potential European finish.

 

Sunderland currently sit in 19th position in the league and find themselves fighting to stay up, a win here could potentially lift them out the bottom three if the other results go their way. It is a big ask for The Black Cats to stay up this season so every game is crucial now. They have recently picked up their first victory in five games with a decent victory over Manchester United and before that a late surge to earn a draw with Liverpool.

 

West Ham are going to want to win here to keep themselves in with a chance of European football next year, facing a team battling relegation is the perfect opportunity for them to pick up three easy points. However, Sunderland should be filled with confidence with their last results and will hope to pull off a shock victory away from home. With West Ham’s players showing their class in the FA Cup and scoring for fun at the weekend I believe they will prove too much at home for the visitors.
