Sunderland v Manchester United Predictions
Sunderland will be in high spirits when they enter the playing field on Saturday after coming from 2-0 down at Anfield and snatching a draw with two late goals, whilst Manchester United conceded very late on away at Chelsea to see them leave with just a point, when three points seemed in the bag.
Sunderland are such an inconsistent team, and this is why they always find themselves in a relegation battle. They’ve not won in a month, though three of their last four matches have been against Liverpool, Manchester City and Spurs. Their performance at home to Man City probably deserved more than a 1-0 defeat, but scoring goals has always been an issue for them if Defoe doesn’t grab a goal.
After the dismal 1-0 home defeat to Southampton where the fans booed the players and manager off the pitch, Manchester United needed to bounce back. A 3-0 home win at home to Stoke seemed to lift the shackles from the players as they played with more freedom and quality compared to the previous matches against Southampton and Liverpool.
Against Chelsea, they looked the superior side in the first half, and a quality goal from Jesse Lingard springs hope that the youth in the team may just be the recipe for a positive future.
Backing odds on for a Premier League team away from home isn’t something I’d do often in my football bets, but Manchester United have to win this match to be in contention for a Champions League place. They seem to be slowly turning a corner, and a win here might spur them on until the end of the season. My first Sunderland v Man United prediction for this weekend is Man United to win, they are 4/5 to win with virtually every bookmaker, with Coral and William Hill to name a couple.
If you open a new Coral account, you’ll qualify to bet £5 on Manchester United at 10/1 – £5 wins £55.

My second bet of the match is for Yann M’Vila to be shown a card. He plays in central midfield and will be the one Sam Allardyce will look to, to break play up and thread passes through to the attacking players for Sunderland. He will have to put his foot in many times during the match and against some of the quick feet in the Manchester United opposition, he may find himself being booked from a late challenge.
The next Premier League prediction for Sunerladn v Manchester United is M’Vila to get a card, the best odds for this bet are 5/1 with Betfair.
OPEN A BETFAIR ACCOUNT AND BET ON MAN UTD TO WIN AT 5/1
My final Premier League bet and anytime goalscorer tip is Anthony Martial. After a quiet middle of the season, his potency seems to be back, cutting in from the left wing he has most full backs beaten. He will fancy himself against Billy Jones and this should see him get at least a couple of opportunities in front of goal. Martial’s odds to score anytime against Sunderland are 19/10 with Bet Victor.
