Who should Manchester United sign this January?

Who do Man United fans want to see at their club this January?

Although Louis van Gaal’s Red Devils remain far from a club in crisis at this particular stage in the season, let’s face it – Manchester United fans have ultimately had very little to shout about this campaign in terms of sheer entertainment out on the field at Old Trafford.

Yet now that the January transfer window is once again in full swing for all the hopeful teams competing among the Premier League this term, there may yet still be hope for the Man United faithful somewhere on the horizon. The Red Devils have traditionally proven rather big spenders on the transfer scene in recent years after all…

So then, with a large portion of the 2015/16 campaign still to be decided right in the here and now, just who do Manchester United fans really want to see sworn in at their club this January?

Well, although the winter transfer period isn’t usually known for producing a wide plethora of big-name signings across the board, some United fans are seemingly approaching this window with a fair amount of ambition in mind…

…with a selection of high profile Premier League targets also emerging on the agenda it seems…

But even in light of all the exciting transfer-fuelled hype this month, some Red Devils supporters seem to be looking backwards when it comes to evaluating potential winter signings at their club…

Certain voices within the Old Trafford faithful have nonetheless taken on a rather sarcastic approach this month…

…whilst others remain just as serious as matters of the often competitive transfer market usually tend to be…

A few – perhaps less obvious – targets have nevertheless emerged in recent weeks however…

…with a collection of other classic names seemingly doing the rounds once again…

A certain BBC pundit has taken a less than favourable stance towards Manchester United’s pulling power in the modern era though…

…and maybe Lawro does actually have a point this time…

All in all, Manchester United risk falling behind the rest of their Premier League opposition if they fail to make some much needed headway sooner rather than later – yet even though Louis van Gaal would presumably love to splash the cash once again this January – perhaps United fans will have to wait until the summer to see some real transfer-related action take place at their club…
