Roberto Martinez’s Everton have played very well this season but are drawing too many matches with not enough wins. Everton have only lost four matches this season out of the 17 they have played and their away form has been very impressive with only one defeat, which was against Arsenal back in October. Everton have drawn eight matches this season but could have got a few wins from those matches but they struggle to finish the opportunities which they make for themselves. Everton took on Leicester in their last match, which they lost 3-2 at Goodison Park despite having 64% possession and many chances. Everton have been very reliant on Romelu Lukaku this season who has been in splendid scoring form with 13 goals this season and is looking to beat Jamie Vardy’s record. Roberto Martinez will go into this match knowing his team can score some goals here but will be stressing too the squad that they need to finish their chances.

 

I am very confident that Everton will score at St James Park and it will be the man who has been firing in the goals all season. Romelu Lukaku will be aware of Jamie Vardy’s record and I am sure he will be looking to beat it. Romelu Lukaku has scored in his last seven matches and I believe with the amount of goals Newcastle leak in he will be on the scoresheet.

Everton have been playing very well recently and the partnership between Deulofeu and Lukaku has been deadly.
