After an utterly shambolic start to the season, Newcastle appear to be running into some form ahead of the festive period. Following no wins in their opening eight matches, The Magpies have now won four of their last eight, and also their last two on the trot against Champions League chasing Liverpool and Spurs.

However, they do enter a run of matches where they will certainly fancy their chances of pinching a few points. Manager Remi Garde has already stated in his pre-match press conference; the next four games will determine whether they're able to pull off the unlikeliest of escapes.
