Within Europe it is a different story for Anderlecht, who will be desperate for a win to kick start their faltering campaign. A 1-1 home draw to Monaco and a shock 1-0 away defeat to Qarabag means Besnik Hasi’s side find themselves bottom of the group and a failure to win against Tottenham could seriously hinder their chances of qualification. Anderlecht’s poor form in the Europa league stretches back to 2012, since then they have failed to win their last six outings (L4, D2). 

 

Spurs have started their campaign in good form with a 3-1 win against Qarabag and a hard thought 1-1 draw against Monaco. A victory in Belgium tonight would see them almost guarantee qualification to the knockout stages and increase their lead at the top of Group J. Finding the net and winning this fixture is going to be a tough ask for a Spurs side that is depleted through injury and the recent six-week absence of Belgian international Nacer Chadli joining the likes of Hon Min Son on the sidelines will not help their shortage of goals and lack of a creative spark in the final third.
