Arsenal will be looking to significantly improve on their Champions League form as they welcome Greek champions Olympiakos to The Emirates on Tuesday's night. Tune into BT Sport at 7:45 and here are our match predictions and football betting tips.
Arsenal v Olympiakos Predictions
Arsenal couldn't have got off to a worse possible start following their last outing in the Champions League. Arsene Wenger's men produced a shocking performance away at Dynamo Zagreb, and duly came back to London with no points. Although the soft red card to Olivier Giroud certainly didn't help matters, The Gunners never got out of third gear and their Croatian opponents were by far the hungrier on the night.
Nevertheless, following their shock opening day defeat to West Ham, domestic form has been decent for Arsenal and they remain in touching distance of the summit. Although they lost to Chelsea recently, the Diego Costa sideshow played a huge part in the proceedings on the day and they were unfortunate to lose in the manner they did. Most recently, though, the 5-2 victory away at Leicester City showed The Gunners at their ruthless best, with Alexis Sanchez breaking his Premier League duck this season with a superbly taken hat-trick.
Champions League stalwarts Olympiakos head to the capital also looking to improve on a defeat in game week one. The Greek champions went down 3-0 at home to Bayern Munich, and although many won't fare much better, they will have perhaps been slightly disappointed to not give a better account of themselves on the night.
Domestically, there are no such problems for Olympiakos, though. Marco Silva's men have begun their season in imperious style with five straight wins and only three goals conceded. Although the Greek Super League lacks the strength and depth of the Premier League, this is still an exceptional start to proceedings from well-seasoned side in the Champions League.
Heading into the match and the bookies have Arsenal as clear favourites at a best price of 9/20. Olympiakos can be backed at 15/2, with the draw available at 4/1.
Although I wouldn't go to Gun-Ho backing Arsenal at those odds for my football tips, I would still expect them to come out on top this Tuesday night. Arsene Wenger can already ill-afford to lose any more ground in what could already be a very tight group.
