Sunday Accumulator Tips:

Manchester United to beat Manchester City – 6/4

With just a point separating United and City ahead of what promises to be a compelling Manchester derby, it’s a surprise to see the home side favourites to take the points when you consider the positions of the two sides just a couple of months ago.

But while City’s title bid has faded, United have been in terrific form of late and after impressive victories over Liverpool and Spurs in recent weeks, the hosts will be full of confidence as they look to secure their Champions league qualification. The Red Devils have won an impressive 13 of 16 home games in the league; the most of any Premiership team, and look a good bet to get one over their rivals having won their last five matches.

City meanwhile now face a battle to just to secure a top-four spot, a situation that seemed unthinkable not so long ago. But after three straight defeats on their travels, pressure is starting to build on City boss Manuel Pellegrini, who knows he must address their poor form and quickly. Defeats to both Crystal Palace and Burnely have been disappointing, and United would like nothing more than to add to their woes this weekend.

Hibernian to beat Hearts – 7/5

The Scottish Championship throws up another derby this Sunday as Hearts and Hibernian go head to head in the battle of Edinburgh. Having already won the title in spectacular fashion, Hearts can relax knowing they have secured a return to the top flight with an impressive 27 victories from 32. And while they are clearly the best side in the division, defeat to Rangers last weekend will give Hibernian belief that they might be taking their foot of the gas ever so slightly.

Hibernian sit second in the table, but still have work to do in order to try and maintain that position. Having struggled in recent weeks, they will be keen to regain their form once again in preparation for the play-offs and there’s no better way to do that than with victory over your rivals.

They bounced back from three straight defeats with victory over Dumbarton in midweek, and given the circumstances of both sides, it would be no surprise to see them take the points this weekend in what could prove a tight encounter.

Real Sociedad to beat Deportivo – 10/11

Real Sociedad will be looking to build on their impressive home form when they welcome relegation threatened Deportivo this weekend. The home side find themselves tenth in La Liga, and despite an applaing record of just one win from 15 on the road, they have been a totally different proposition on their own turf winning over half of these matches. Four wins and a draw from their last five home fixtures stand them in good stead for another this Sunday with their opponents without a win since early February.

Deportivo are just two points ahead of the bottom three, and with two draws and three defeats from their last five games are in retched form. Having lost half of their 30 games so far, with just six victories to their name, they look up against it once more and so a home win looks likely.

Bordeaux to beat Marseille – 9/5

Another interesting encounter, this time in France sees Bordeaux host title chasing Marseille in Ligue 1. The home side are in sixth place, just two points off the Europa League places, however have an extra incentive for victory as it could leave them just three points off their opponents in the race for Champions League qualification.

Their home form has been impressive this campaign, and with three wins and two draws from their last five; including a memorable victory over PSG, they look a great bet to pick up another win here.

Marseille suffered a huge blow last weekend, losing out to PSG and with it perhaps saw their title challenge fade. They must focus on securing a top three spot over the coming weeks, but having won just six times on the road so far a trip to Bordeaux is not ideal. They certainly have the quality to go there and win, but it’s worth taking a chance that their latest defeat may have affected them. Given Bordeaux’s strong home form, they look a good price to spring another surprise on Sunday.
