After helping his side establish safe passage to the next round of the Europa League with a couple of well taken goals last month – whilst also making a name for himself among the Premier League against Arsenal last weekend – Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford has seemingly singled himself out for a potential call-up to the Three Lions squad at Euro 2016 this summer.
The up and coming 18-year-old striker may have only burst onto the scene within the English top-flight a mere matter of weeks ago, but seeing as England don’t exactly have a wealth of worthy attacking options to count upon at this summer’s highly anticipated tournament, perhaps the growing Old Trafford favourite could be on board at Euro 2016 after all.
In light of everything that has taken place for the young Manchester United forward in 2015/16 then – does Marcus Rashford really deserve a spot among the England national squad, or would Roy Hodgson simply be out of his mind in even considering the fresh-faced striker for international duty this summer?
Well, despite the immediate sense of hype and sensation to surround the Old Trafford front-man in recent weeks, most English football fans nonetheless remain grounded when it comes to Rashford’s potential on the international scene…
Those calling for Rashford to be called up by England are just crazy. How many games has he played ?

A selection of established alternatives have subsequently cropped up in light of all the recent Euro 2016 talk…
I'd rather see @Noble16Mark @Aaron_Cresswell @Michailantonio Scott Dann in the England squad than Luke Shaw, Marcus Rashford & Jack Wilshere

…and many have seemingly questioned Hodgson’s stance on the youngster since he first burst onto the scene for Manchester United not so long ago…
Hodgson saying hes tracked Rashford's progress for two years through the national junior ranks. He's played 86 minutes for England in 3 years

In fact, many – presumably non-Red Devils supporting fans – have major doubts over whether or not Marcus Rashford could truly make it for England…
England better stop hyping up this Rashford dude or soon he will become just another English footballer.

…leaving some to even take on a somewhat ironic approach when speculating over Roy Hodgson’s upcoming selection plans…
If Harry Kane maintains this from until the end of the season he might just knock Marcus Rashford out of England's squad for the Euros.

So then, even though Roy Hodgson has seemingly left the door open for Marcus Rashford at Euro 2016 this summer…
Roy Hodgson hints Marcus Rashford may make Euro 2016 squad: "I would neither rule him in or out. I've been watching him for 2 years." #MUFC
— United Report (@ManUtdReport_) 3 March 2016
…the majority of the English footballing community remain well and truly sceptical over the 18-year-old’s sheer lack of top-flight experience right in the here and now!
Rashford for England, what a joke. He'll be at Accrington reserves in 3 years….
