Under Alan Pardew’s once stable leadership down at Selhurst Park this season, Crystal Palace have undoubtedly proven one of the most disappointing outfits among the entire English top-flight. The 2016/17 campaign has certainly proven one to forget for the Eagles faithful of late.
Although Palace could have theoretically staved off the dreaded threat of relegation with much of the current season still left to be decided, Pardew’s increasingly ill-fated management style was ultimately deemed untenable ahead of the Eagles' upcoming Boxing Day clash against Watford.
Pardew’s Christmas plans would have likely changed a great deal since parting ways with Crystal Palace this month…

…and whilst most seemingly don’t feel all that sorry for the former West Ham, Southampton and Newcastle boss…
If anyone else says they feel sorry for Pardew getting the sack ….
He’s got £5m and Xmas off.

…perhaps Pardew isn’t actually the main man to blame within all of this…
Brendan Rodgers signs benteke, gets sacked. Alan Pardew signs benteke, gets sacked. Benteke hmm yeah

Many Newcastle United fans have enjoyed watching Palace struggle under the leadership of their former manager…
So Palace paid £2.5m for Pardew, sacked him 2 years later…. and we got Rafa Benitez. Merry Christmas lads.

…and although Alan Pardew does have some fans backing his cause in the wake of the recent departure from Selhurst Park…
How can you pick Sam allardyce over Pardew. Palace have lost it
— Mickey Bricks (@StrictlyJay) 24 December 2016
…the vast majority of Premier League onlookers aren’t all that surprised in Crystal Palace’s latest decision…
Do not hate Pardew, and gutted it didn't work out for him…but he had to go…and so do all his useless coaching staff..

Whilst Big Sam may not be the perfect fit for the Eagles with all things taken into account…
Pardew fails. £5m payoff. Allardyce useless and corrupt. New job on millions of pounds. Welcome to football 2016. Keep buying those tickets

…surely it was only a matter of time before Pardew was finally shown the door at Selhurst Park!
