Villarreal vs Real Madrid Prediction and Betting Tips

Villarreal host Real Madrid in what could include the debut of Gareth Bale on Saturday and we have got betting tips for the La Liga match.

Both teams are flying out of the blocks gaining maximum points from the first three games of the season and this should surely be another big test for Ancelotti’s men. The game should be a high scoring thriller with both teams averaging more than two goals per game, although its only early in the season it’s not a bad way to signal your intentions for the coming campaign.

Especially for Villarreal who have just lifted themselves back up into the top flight of Spanish football after what has been a crazy twelve months for the club. Obviously all eyes will be on Bale if he can prove his fitness, which looks likely. He clearly has a lot to prove may I add not just for the incredible fee Real are paying but to prove a certain Zinedine Zidane wrong after the star coming out and saying the transfer sum was "incomprehensible" and no player is worth such money.

Will he go onto be one of the greats at Madrid??? Only time will tell. Despite pinching Ronaldo’s status as the world’s most expensive player, Bale is unlikely to outscore his hero at Madrid next season, with the Portuguese a heavy 1/10 (Ladbrokes) favourite to score more La Liga goals this season.

The match for me might just be decided by two of Madrid's more influential stars in Ronaldo and Isco, who have both hit the ground running popping up on numerous occasions with the goods, can Villarreal hold out? Isco to score first is 5/1 (Bet365).

With Villarreal being the home team it'll be interesting to see how they set up, although it’s possible to see them playing with ten men behind the ball and trying to catch Madrid on the counter but with a home crowd surely wanting more attractive and attacking play will that change? Will they deliver the first blow? It’s 19/10 for Villarreal to score first (Ladbrokes).

With Ozil now missing for the away team who was their most creative player over his stay in the Spanish capital can they now fill that void and manage to create enough to break down a newly formed and well-oiled side in Villarreal? The bookies are heavily backing Madrid and it’s not hard to see why they have talent throughout this side and especially with the arrival of Bale, his new team mates will be looking to put in a decent performance themselves to keep their place in the side.

Di Maria should be the one the make way for the Welsh hit man will that be the right call to start with Bale and throw him straight in at the deep end? I’d say so and he probably will start and maybe make himself an instant fans hero will a debut goal? Bale is 11/10 with Sky Bet to do just that.

Over 90 minutes it’s more than likely Madrid will simply have too much for the home team, although don't be surprised if El Submarino Amarillo (Spanish for yellow submarine) put up a valiant fight. The newly promoted side have had somewhat of a transformation over the past year or so with majority of stars following their relegation deciding to jump ship, with star players such as Borja Valero, Diego López, and Nilmar leaving the side.

They will not be a pushover especially in front of their home crowd. This game’s first goal will be critical especially with both teams starting as strongly as they have but Real simply should prove to have too much in this one and if they play to potential should ease to victory providing they do play as well as they have been know otherwise the home side might be in with a chance of sneaking a result of some sort.
