Let’s face it, whilst much was expected of Jose Mourinho’s highly anticipated Stamford Bridge homecoming this weekend, the current Manchester United boss simply endured a troubling 90 minutes to forget as Antonio Conte’s Chelsea ran rampant over an out of sorts Red Devils outfit.
4-0 was the final score in the end – yet if the Blues had nonetheless failed to squander a whole host of equally promising chances throughout Sunday’s widely watched encounter between the two Premier League giants – Manchester United really could have been on the end of an even bigger hiding if Chelsea had been just a little more punishing in front of goal.
Most Manchester United fans have been left somewhat dejected after yesterday’s awful showing…
Chelsea have completely destroyed us today. The players should be ashamed of themselves for this awful performance. Not acceptable.

…and if things seemingly couldn’t get any worse for Red Devils supporters right in the here and now, it looks as if Jose Mourinho’s side have suffered a major injury concern to one of their most dependable centre-backs…
Bailly a big loss for Man United. And a mark of how poor Rojo is that Mourinho prefers Blind as the stand-in centre back. #CHEMUN #ARG

Mourinho himself has come under a fair amount of criticism as his side were simply demolished last time out at Stamford Bridge…
Wonder who Mourinho is going to blame for this shambles? 2/1 Atkinson 7/2 Fixture planners 8/1 Carneiro 16/1 Wenger

…but perhaps the blame doesn’t lie exclusively at the former Chelsea hero’s door in this particular instance…
Sick of blaming managers for poor results some of our players are simply not good or consistent enough to play for Man United.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic arguably hasn’t been at his best for quite some time now truth be told…
Gordon McQueen: "Zlatan Ibrahimovic has done nothing so far and looks very poor. He looks like an old man playing football."

…and as for the most expensive player in the world right about now, the £89 million rated Paul Pogba…
Pogba managed to get himself out of Henderson's pocket just in time to jump into Kante's.
A pocket-to-pocket midfielder.

…perhaps the least said about the 23-year-old French international for now, the better…

Although Manchester United remain far from a club in crisis at this particular stage in the season…
You wouldn't believe me, but United are still in the title race.#MUFC

…the Red Devils currently look no better than they did under Louis van Gaal for large parts of the so-called ‘transitional years’ down at Old Trafford…
Suddenly LvG doesn't look too bad… #MUFC
