Although England’s ultimate fate among Euro 2016 certainly remains far from decided right in the here and now, last night’s disappointing draw with Leonid Slutsky’s Russia nonetheless proved a major point of contention for all those Three Lions supporters determined to see their nation finally succeed upon the international stage.
In light of England’s sheer lack of conviction against a rather forgettable Russian outfit – who let’s face it, hardly provided international football supporters with the most free-flowing and attractive style of play we’re likely to see throughout Euro 2016 by any stretch of the imagination – some of the more frustrated Three Lions fans have aptly taken to the largely consequent-less forum that is Twitter, in order to express a variety of views that Roy Hodgson will probably fail to take into account all the same…
Whilst England admittedly shone themselves in a rather promising light across the duration of the first-half last night against Russia…
The most impressive half I've seen @England play in a tournament for a long while. Come on England!

…England’s unmistakable lack of end product couldn’t help but spoil the overall atmosphere in Marseille yesterday evening…
Many positives about England tonight, but final ball very poor at times and our inability to defend crosses all game cost us in the end.

Roy Hodgson has nonetheless received his fair share of criticism in light of the recent result against Russia…
Mark my words, England will not get anywhere with that useless owl in charge.

…his overall decision making on the night certainly left a lot to be desired if we’re all being honest with the situation…
Why did Rooney get subbed off and why does Kane take corners ??? Poor tactics Royyyy !!! ??

…and just where was a certain Jamie Vardy when we seemingly needed him most?
Didn't deserve that, played very well. One gripe, if you don't bring Vardy on in that game when else would you? Pace on CA & ageing CB's.

In the end, the final result simply felt typically English within the grand scheme of things…
Typical England though! Never a team that grips you no matter how much you want them to win ??

…but why Raheem Sterling was given the go-ahead to start on the back of such a poor domestic campaign with Manchester City remains anyone’s guess at this particular stage in the proceedings…
Sterling is a shadow of the player he was 18 months ago!!well done agent ward £££.

As Russia have now come and gone with one solitary point taken home for their efforts however, all we can really do now is wish the lads the best of luck against what will undoubtedly prove a rather tricky Welsh outfit to say the very least…
Why don't people get behind the team instead of always having a dig. Get behind the boys. ⚽️⚽️⚽️ #England #Euro2016
